Anybody else sick of hearing about the handball?
There's no getting away from it no matter what you read, watch or listen to.
Ireland should've just taken their chances during the game.
Any player in the world would've done the same as Henry given the chance to get to or even win a World Cup, despite what the PFA and David Ginola say.

When Maurice sold me to Leeds something changed, it just not the same, the passion inside me just wasn’t the same as running out at Central park for my hometown club.
We need a change of culture here; we don’t want to be just happy with playing ok on Saturday at St Helens.
Ill make sure that from now on things will change, that players will be under pressure and will train a lot harder than they have before.

Absolutley made up for the Irish, the way their fans celebrated (and yes the streets of Dublin were alive in jubilation after that game, I was there) in 1986 when Maradonna 'hand of god' robbed England they deserve every bit of Irish luck they can eat. Thierry 'La main de dieu' Henry is now a true world great.

Funny isn't it, no one bats an eyelid if a word is used against the French, but as soon as it is applied to the Irish there is uproar.
Football fans really make me laugh sometimes, do you "lose all respect for" or "never forgive" all players when they commit fouls or handle the ball in all games, or is it only certain occasions when such a hypocritical stance is allowed? |

I feel exactly the same way after being unfortunate enough to watch 'The Hand Of God' in a bar in Majorca surrounded by jubilant and exuberant Irishmen (and Women - they were even worse). It may have taken 23 years, but what goes around comes around.  |
