| Apparently our first two new signings will be announced today as Barry Conlon and Peter Thorne.
If I'm right Conlon is a big battering ram type journeyman striker that has his uses at this level, and Thorne was always a decent enough player at a higher level a few years back so they sound reasonable enough additions.

Surprisingly enough, we're also looking at a young central midfielder released by Everton. Why don't we just announce Everton as our parent club and have done with it

| Things are looking pretty sweet for Chester.
The new manager is making the right noises and we've enjoyed our best pre-season recruitment campaign for several years.
We've added John Murphy from Blackpool/Macc Town, Kevin Ellison and Gavin Ward from Tranmere, Richie Partridge from Rotherham and Nathan Lowndes from Vale. Add to this the return of Ashley Westwood from a loan spell at Swindon and things look good.
It'll all end in tears no doubt!

When you've hardly got a playing squad to speak of, you have to start somewhere. They'll add some experience up front without pulling up any trees at that level I'd imagine.

I'm finding the reaction of some of our fans quite amusing, they seemed to be think we'd be signing the likes of Robbie Fowler and Teddy Sheringham

Erm, I don't mean to spoil your self club ego, but Bradford City have never been able to attract the likes of Robbie Fowler or Teddy Sheringham, even when you were in the Premiership.

I got the point that other City fans think they are a big club and can buy players who are bigger than the club.

| Paul Evans is back at City on trial with a view to a permanent deal. I'd be happy with that. He'd be a good player at this level assuming he's over his injuries.

Agree with that.
I think having an experienced "spine" of the team and surrounding that with younger players is a good way of doing thigs at this level and with Wetherall-Evans and Peter Thorne we'd have that, all of whom should be of a good quality for the league we are in.
Just been up to get my season ticket, almost up to 7000 apparently which is good going, couldn't get any decent seats in either of the touchline stands.

What seats did you get? I'm hoping for a half decent seat in the Sunwin.

Good luck!
We've ended up about halfway up Block E in the Kop, there was nothing left in the Sunwin past the first 3 or 4 rows for two people sitting together, although there may be the odd seat here and there, The Midland Road is the same and there is also not much left in the lower tier of the Kop after the first seven or eight rows.
The one thing that will annoy me is that I bet there are quite a few people who have got a free under 11 season ticket for kids who don't always take them! I go with my grandad and we were going to get one for my cousin, but trying to find three seats together anywhere half decent was an absolute nightmare!

Left sided IIRC, can also play on the left of midfield.
Decent signing in the short term IMO, we're struggling for left sided players.
