Johnson didnt have a spell down under, he spent his childhood there and therefore learned his RU playing at junior and senior school before being selected for the Junior All blacks at around 18/19 years of age
Johnson came to uk to earn a living as an adult playing RU and then got selected to play for England.

How lucky are England to draw the Argies and not one of the big three.

These violent delights have violent ends And in their triumph die, like fire and powder, Which, as they kiss, consume.:

Quote: Oldham Rhino "How lucky are England to draw the Argies and not one of the big three.'"

Depends on the limit of their ambitions.
If they expect to win it (and I accept that's a HUGE leap of faith) it shouldn't matter as they would expect to be able to beat anyone else anyway, if however (as I suspect) they may be looking at a damage limitation exercise.......

Very Lucky indeed! icon_lol.gif

interesting to see that those places still up for grabs (e.g. americas 1) are already being credited to teams by various news agencies. is it that much of a foregone conclusion?

Quote: Shadow "More like Danny Cipriani in early return from serious injury and fails to be as good as he was immediately before he was broken shock.

When 100% he is as good as the hype made out, but with the lack of cover he was rushed back before he recovered full fitness and form.
That said the other 14 on the park didn't help matters and they haven't had their ankle rebuilt in the past 3 months.'"

Agree 100%.

Cipriani is by far the best English rugby player, however, he was rushed back and there was far too much responsibility / pressure on the young lad ahead of the series.

That is pure BS!! Was every part of your ‘story’ made up from the top of your head? It's amazing how people want to twist facts and dates to achieve the end goal of knocking RU!

He went over in 1989! He was already 19/20 and he only spent two years there and yes he did play for the NZ u21 side but he had already achieved England honours at the lower levels before this. Plus he had a contract with the tigers in England to come back to! Hardly call that spending his childhood and senior school days there!

Quote: Catalancs "france played running rugby about 10 years ago if i remember rightly.
when they had ntamack on the wing (is was ntamack wasnt it?)'"

Yup, just before the advent of Bernie "the Door" who tried to emulate Woodward's "win at all costs" style. The pinnacle was the last WC with two French squads able to compete at the highest level, and not one French team with the flair of old.

That's part of the reason I started supporting Wales, at least they'd rather lose playing running rugby than win England style.
