I think this might be a season to early for the Hawks, back in the early 80's the young Edmonton Oilers lost to the mighty Islanders team the season before they went on to beat them and dominate the league for the next few years and I think that could be us,lose to Detroit this season before taking over as the top team from next season.

I'm not so sure tbh, the young Hawks for me came of age when they beat the Canucks. Game 5 in Vancouver I think will be a defining moment for this current Hawks team. Don't think the Wings have been spectacular in the Cup and could have and should have been beaten by the Ducks.

| 'hawks for me. The synchronised diving team from Detroit looked old and tired last night. Had the Ducks been able to string more than two passes together they may well have won. Worse still was the Ducks power play in 5 on 3, just stand still and do nothing. Makes me wonder where Tony Granatto has been for the last few weeks because that power play certainly looked like the Avs this year.
Should the Blackhawks and Penguins make the final it will be a wonderful series with all the young stars coming out to play but don't count the 'canes, a true team.

| Hawks go 2-0 down in the series against the Wings with a 3-2 loss in OT. Much better performance from the Hawks with greater speed and intensity, but they were their own downfall with 2 costly mistakes from Seabrook & Pahlsson gifting the wings 2 goals.
All is not lost and if they carry on playing like they did last night but cutting out the mistakes I can see this series going all the way.

| Hawks do their best to throw away the game after going 3-0 up in the 2nd period, letting the Wings get 3 goals in a 5 minute spell. Hung on and ground the win out Sharp getting the game winner in OT.

| Chicago got their AR$ES handed to them by Detroit losing 6-1.Huet took over from an injured Khabby in net so at least this shows if we want to win the cup on the future he's not the man to help us.Can't see us coming back from this now, it seems I predicted correct that this is too early for us to be beating the Wings in the playoffs.

| Detroit won the first two games 3-1. With Pittsburgh having home ice for the next two games they are going to have to make it count to have any chance.

Can't see anything other than a clean sweep for the Wings TBH. The Wings have shut down the Pens offense completely and left with really only the neutral zone to play in, as soon as they reach the Detroit blue line they end up having to force the puck in and the outcome is the Wings come out with it time and again.

Must be showing different games in the UK to what is being broadcast in the States. Biggest difference maker so far has been Lady Luck, with Osgood getting the breaks and Fleury getting none.

Just the way I see it and the lady luck or not as you call it the Pens need to score more than 1 goal a game to beat the Wings. Wings have been great at stopping the Pens offense and not really leaving them with alot of great scoring opportunites, where as the Wings have been much better at getting the puck in and around the net and taking the chances when they get them.
Don't rate Osgood that much but when it comes to the play offs he is a totally different player and seems to play at another level. Can't see the Pens getting much from this series at all unless the Wings run out of gas.

| Great turn around by the Pens as they are crashing the net and getting the puck in and around the detroit goal which they didn't do much of or well enough in the first 2 games in the motor city.
Still think Detroit will claim the cup though.
