He actually lives very close to Manchester. Not surprising really. Who, if they had any choice, would want to live in Blackburn. There's only place comparable to Blackburn - Middlesbrough. Horrid.

| Should Ronaldo go to Madrid, Ribery will be signed to replace him, according to his agent.
Not a bad replacement, in my humble.

Not many could replace him, but he could.

Oi, Beardy. Are you the only side to have suffered losing star players? I think not. So put the excuses down and clean up table 3!

In a way he is correct, losing his star players has indeed cost him a good chance at least. But it's his own fault for buying rubbish. His squad isnt nearly strong enough. If United lose anyone, they can get a team together that is still good enough to win, even Ronaldo. United leave out very good players time after time. Liverpool have not got that luxury, despite spending big in recent years.
Fans will argue they still wouldn't be able to have the strength in depth of united even spending what they have. I argue that they have spent the money extremely poorly over the past few years.

| I wouldn't say Rafa's spending has been fantastic, but it's been OK. The thing with United is they have quite a few academy produced players, such as: Giggs, Neville, Fletcher, Scholes, O'Shea and Jonny Evans. Rafa hasn't been at our club anywhere near long enough to have so many academy players in the first team. Considering one of the disputes over his contract is control over the academy, it's clear that he's still unhappy with it.
Rafa hasn't spent that well, he's made quite a few mistakes, but he's also not had the luxury of academy produced players, with only Gerrard and Carragher being Liverpool-produced in our first team, Fergie has 6 that I've named above already in the first team, three times as many as us, which means he's been able spend more in other areas making their squad much stronger.

Could Rafa not have hung on to some of the players he did let go from the academy? Players like Warnock and Guthrie are both playing in the PL and would have helped to boost the Liverpool squad. Keeping Warnock could have saved him the money he spent on players like Dossena and Guthrie may well have done a better job than Lucas. It is one area Utd seem to have a major advantage in.

| Well he obviously judged them as sufficient, and I would have thought they'd want to leave due to lack of opportunities in the first team. Warnock has gone on to be a decent premier league player, Guthrie still has a lot to prove, but I felt neither were good enough to make it at the club.
Looking at how Lucas performed in Brazil, he looked a much better player than Guthrie, and I still have faith that he can realize his potential and make it at our club.

Windass throws toys out the pram!!!!
What a surprise.
Similar situation to that he created earlier in the season, it's about time the bloke realised he's due to retire. It's as if he thinks he's doing teams a favour by offering to play for them instead of actually having to earn a first team place.
