| Awesome performance last night. Fair play to Rodgers making a game of it off not much. Kaepernick was brilliant though. An outstanding individual effort although I'm still not a great fan of QBs running rather than passing. Can see why it's used because Wilson did the same to us with our man coverage last time we met the Seahawks. Can't see past the Patriots for the AFC but the NFC is up for grabs I think.

The NFC is the 49ers to lose.

| It was our's to lose when we bowled over the Patriots until the following week when the Seahawks bowled us over. Nothing is certain in the NFL these days. There's nobody left with significant play off experience so anything can happen. I'd love another shot at the Seahawks though. They've been great recently bud I'd love to pay them back for a few weeks ago as I'm sure several 49ers would lol.

| The play offs have taken off this weekend.
As dramatic as yesterday was and as wonderful as the Ray Lewis fairytale is becoming...what is happening in Atlanta right now tops that!
Russel Wilson has been unbelievable.
And as I type Atlanta still look like winning!

| The bitterness pouring out in the Sky studio as the Russell Wilson love-in goes flaccid right now is comical.
Still doubting whether Matt Ryan can do it in a play-off game? Suck on it, Reynolds.

| Oh, and to those who think not winning in a play-off game means you're not an elite player, tell that to Tony Gonzalez.

| You have to understand why people (maybe not supposedly objective summarisers) would buy into Wilson Andy - the whole story and the way he has brought his team back the last 2 weeks is brilliant.
You don't have to win a playoff game to be elite - Gonzalez is one off, if not the, best ever.
Laud Ryan all you like but that interception in the 4th quarter almost killed you - a terrible decision and even worse throw. Fairplay he came back in the last drive but if Lynch takes two or three attempts to drive it in rather than 1 then you don't get the ball back & the Matty Choke thing starts all over again

| Gutted. I put a £5 bet on Seattle at 20-0 in the 2nd quarter. Thought I had £50 coming my way for a second then!

An elite QB would have put away the game up 20. In every other game he has played in the p/o's Ryan has made key errors.

| I now want a Ravens/Falcons superbowl as that will mean either Ray Lewis or Tony Gonzalez will end their career with a superbowl win.If pushed as Lewis already has one i'd go for TG getting his 1st.If the Bears can't win it I always like a win that means something thats why my favourite non Bears superbowl is when Elway finally got one with the Broncos.

| A win for the traditional quarterback with Brady knocking out the Texans. I think it will be tough against an emotionally charged Ravens team.

2nd video is the beginning of his current injury. Again a QB run. Which was then aggravated early in the Seahawks game. Then of course the ACL went on that sandbox of a pitch.
.'"
Have you watched the 2nd video? Not just the hit but the actual play? It's a drop back pass from under centre. RGIII is flushed out of the pocket and scrambles. It is NOT an option play. Now, if I wanted to be as childish as you I would say something facile like "that is that I won't discuss it further with a fan boy who doesn't understand the fundementals of the game". But I am a grown up and am happy to continue to have the discussion like one.
Quote: Ndamukong "You want to ignore that continual hits etc. throughout the season will weaken the knee then fair enough.'" I'm ignoring nothing. You're ignoring the fact that RGIIIs knee has been injured this season on conventional drop back plays. His injuries have nothing to do with ANY option plays.
Quote: Ndamukong "I know I said I wasn't getting into it again but I'm not getting talked down to by some fan boy. Done with it now'" Pick your teddies back up and discuss it. I am grown up enough to handle a difference of opinion.
By the way, what did you make of Kaepernick and Wilson's games this weekend? They were pretty good weren't they? Kaepernick gave the 49ers 444 yards, 181 on the ground. He also gave them 4tds. 2 on the ground.
Russell Wilson had 445 yards and was his teams leading rusher.
The NFL is changing and more teams are looking for a QB like RGIII. The offense is succesful. Three of teh playoff teams in the NFC ran it.
It's just lazy and ill informed to pile on Shannahan for running this offence (whilst not doing likewise to Harbaugh or Carroll) and it completely ignores the fact that RGIIIs injuries did not come on option plays. I repeat, they did not come on option plays.

| If we had gone on to lose last night I wouldn't have hung one single bit of the blame on Ryan.
Yes, he made a bad decision and got picked off. It happens to every QB, but in no way was it singularly responsible for the front four not being able to generate a pass rush, or Mike Nolan's shocking play calling that alowed Wilson all day in the pocket to find his receivers.
There are 44 other guys on the roster who all contribute in some way or other to whether a team wins or loses. Hanging it all on a QB - as so often seems the case with the media and Ryan - is ridiculous.
Hopefully we're more agressive defensively against the Niners, otherwise we could be in for the same kind of night.

People aren't jumping on Shannahan just for running the system. It is an exciting system. It works (whether it does long term is another question).
People are jumping on him for continuing to run the system when his QB has a knee injury.
Likewise I would criticise Harbaughh/Carroll if they did the same when Kap/Wilson were clearly injured.
Whether or not his injuries came on designed option/run plays they came on plays where he was exposed far more than any "conventional" QB would be.
