| Quote: Robbie Rotten "You seem to be having a similar problem with Berbatov. He's very similar to Ibra only not as good. I think after RvN left, United changed the way they played. They dropped the traditional 4-4-2, instead they built around Ronaldo's ability to score out wide, whilst they never had a 'target man', their tactics relied upon players supporting and breaking into the box, Ronaldo was by the best at this, but Rooney also done it really well as they aren't/weren't pure strikers, they preferred dropping deep.
Since Ronaldo's gone, United are kinda stuck in transition, you no longer have the goals coming from out wide, instead they're mainly coming from the striker, which hasn't happened since Ruud was there. I feel if you want to return to the very top, you need a striker to partner/back up Rooney, I'm not sure if Villa would be the best candidate, I think Benzema would be class if available (despite his form in Spain), whilst it's been mooted Higuain would be available, again, he'd be class at any of the top sides in England IMO. I think you need a striker, a centre midfielder and your defence has been very threadbare with injuries this year. If you can sign a top passing midfielder to partner Fletcher/Hargreaves (I like Carrick but he isn't top top drawer, whilst Anderson was still struggling before his injury), then you'll be hard to stop.'"
I think Fergie is looking to address the striker issue with us being linked with Mauro Boselli and the signing of Javier Hernadez with only Berbatov on his way.
I think Carrick is on his way in the summer his form has been poor all season if i could pick one player to replace him in midfeild it'd be Milner. I do think we need to bring in another midfielder and a left winger (Giggs can't carry on forever) as Nani seems to struggle on the left imo.
If we can keep hold of Vidic it'll be a massive boost with Evans playing more and more because of Rio's injurys, we've already brought Smalling in so i thing 4 halfs should be enough.

Aye, we definitely need another striker.

Milner's been linked quite heavily with us, we'd need to sign him before the WC though, otherwise I can see his price rocketing afterwards.
There are also some rumours of Carrick + £15-20m for Modric. Can't see there been any truth in that. What's been quite clear this season is that Fergie doesn't trust Carrick as much as he used to, he's also been taken off penalty duties since his horror spot kick at Burnley earlier in the season.
I can't see us offloading Anderson this summer, I reckon Fergie will give him another year to try and prove himself. He's got talent, he just needs to show it on a regular basis. Hopefully, Hargreaves will be fit for the start of the season. Quote: mutt1 "It'll be like a new signing.rl]
GK, AM and ST are our main priorities.

| We really need to get one before half time, we're playing pretty well but we're not doing quite enough with the ball. Dirk missed a glorious chance.
Glad Hamburg are winning.

I'm now referring to him as Bret Hart after how Pleat described his goal.
Long way from becoming the best there is, the best there was, the best there ever will be though.

| Not really bothered if Liverpool win or lose. But I'm delighted they have to play for the whole 120 minutes.

| Absolutely gutted. Thought we done enough over both legs to go through. It's gutting to go out to away goals but rules are rules. The tie was a great tie, fiercely competed by two sides performing well short of the standards they've set themselves in recent seasons.
The lads done us proud tonight with an inspired performance, just a shame that the tie was decided by a disallowed goal away from home, it deserved much better.
