Going by what Llambias has said recently. A few things that have come out in the last few days hint that it could actually happen.

And if it was to happen, what would be your opinion, and the general opinion amongst Newcastle fans?

I wouldn't want him back. If it did happen though, I'd only want him back until the end of the season and then say goodbye. He left us in a huge amount of and that is unforgivable.
Amongst Newcastle fans in general, it would be very mixed. Some feel the same as me but some would still take him back. If I had to choose one way or another, I'd say more wouldn't want him back.
The daft thing is though, I've said it's unforgivable what he's done yet if he came back and got us playing to the standard he did at the back end of last season, I reckon it would be hard to carry on not liking him. I think a lot of that would be down to who our current manager is, his style of football and the difference in the way the two come across when talking to the media.

Not sure. Sounds as though he could be back in a couple of months which would leave us at the end of April/beginning of May which is practically the end of the season anyway.
I'm hoping he's advised not to carry on managing us due to his health.

Well I think it would be right for the club to step in and appoint somebody else, it would be best to leave Joe to recover without any of the stress of Newcastle to deal with. It would also benefit the club if they had somebody with more ability/experience than Hughton to guide them until the end of the season.

If we do anything, we have to appoint somebody permanently. I think if Kinnear comes back he'll only end up needing more medical attention.

What's the situation with Ashley? Is he still after selling or has he pledged his future to the club?
Just after seeing what happened when he took over and how he never really wanted Allardyce, I wonder if he'd be curious about what potential owners may be after, like.

He's pledged his future but if someone came in offering investment or a complete buy-out, he'd be tempted.

Fair enough. I guess he'll be looking to plan for the medium term, as it doesn't sound like he's in it for the long run. It's such an awkward situation at Newcastle at the moment. Is the whole director of football thing still going on? If it is, they'd probably be better looking for a manager off the continent, like West Ham have, the only problem with that is you're staring at relegation, and bringing in a foreign manager is more of a risk than bringing in somebody British who knows the premier league well.
Decisions decisions decisions, I wouldn't like to be Mike Ashley at the moment...

Definitely. I don't think we'll bring anybody in though unfortunately.
The DoF thing is still going on but there are rumours that Wise is going to be removed in the summer.

Sounds ominous. Are they going to sack him or do the decent thing and send him to a Siberian labour camp?

Thank you, Malc: |

| Can't believe we got beat by West Ham. Our passing was woeful - not helped by having to reorganise the team because of injuries during the game. However, we still managed to not score even though we had four great chances to score and West Ham had one - and scored with it. At least we are playing better away from from home. Now we have Villa with probably no Robihno and Bellamy. Great.
Here's a pic from liddle, relegation-haunted, Blackburn that made me laughhttp://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2009/03/02/article-0-03B794B0000005DC-461_468x462.jpg" >
