I bet that'll upset some locals. Pudsey ain't it.
Apart from anything else, I'd have thought that a fair chunk of their potential fanbase is in Bradford.

| Rodney Jack would be incredible at Blue Square North level, I'm still haunted by his 35 yarder for Crewe at the Reebok
Went to see an under strength RMI side draw 1-1 at Cammell Laird last night, with one of our two Euro aways coming up at Colwyn Bay on Saturday.

And with age on his side too, at 35 he still has plenty to offer and at this level i think he will shine, plus he is a good experienced striker for houghton to be playing alongside.
Not the worst result in the world then last night, and depending how under strength you were

Sell-outs, quite.
I'd be tempted to form FC Celtic of Farsley if that happened!
Anyway, what I wrote on the Celtic forum:
London Hotspur?
Liverpool Toffees?
Birmingham Villa?
South East London Athletic?
South Leeds Hawks RLFC?
You get the picture.
I think the fact that Farsley is not a nationally well known town or city is a good thing on the club's part because it immediately makes people curious as to who the club are.
I think most people who are proper football fans in Leeds and Bradford (a city of 300,000 on the club's doorstep, lets alianate them!) know very well who Farsley Celtic are and where they're from, likewise with non-league fans nationally.
Farsley Celtic has a proud history going back nigh on a century - a great little club who have successfully worked their way up the pyramid. A Leeds name makes it sounds a little... franchisey!
Keep the Farsley name!!

They're more a not-in-any-league club.

Haven't they (they being Wakefield & Emley) just become Wakefield FC anyway since AFC Emley were formed? You can't blame the previous owners of the club from trying to expand the support base etc but it's always good to hear of clubs rising from the ashes when things don't work out for those who are left behind.
And while it's the non-league thread, I won £20 in the 'goal time' competition at Colwyn Bay FC yesterday

| Despite what is stated by the BBC, RMI got a credible rl2-2 drawrl with last season's play-off finalists Hinckley at Hilton Park this afternoon.

| Poor start for the City. Didn't make the most of our chances and gifted them two. The sending off turned it.
