| shaping up well now the play-offs. I think 2 games are 1 sided. NE and Denver should both win well at home. This will be followed up by a great attacking game by the Packs to beat 49ers. The game to watch is again Seattle in a trip to Atlanta. Can Atlanta finally do something in the play off or will Russ Wilson carry on punching above his weight in the NFL. Him and Lynch have now got a great rush game between them. Both running up big numbers with the passing game going ok.
I can see Seattle pinching a win in this one. I just think their D has much more to offer so i thinks its gunna be close bit a couple of turnovers in favour of seattle to be the difference.

| Sorry to hear about Griffin but that is the danger when using a gameplan which has several plays designed for the QB to take the ball in a situation that increases the likelihood of him being tackled in possession. Kind of the point I was making before. If you're paying a guy $5m or so a year for ten years, you should be protecting that investment. Scramble and have the odd play but I think in the NFL you need to base your running game around the RB/FB. It's too dangerous.
I know RGIII's is more down to him already being injured but that injury came about on a crazy scramble on a lousy pitch (he twisted his knee as the grass went from under him a bit didn't he) because he's a competitor. Jim McMahon was one of the crazier ones and I've seen him go head first more than a couple of times, but not much more. Even he wasn't that crazy to test his block of wood against a Ronnie Lott.
As for this weekend. Not sure. Justin Smith is supposed to back for us. If he is fit enough to be effective that makes it a harder game to win. That said, I think we're 1-4 against the Packers in the play offs and they have beaten us at our place as well. Including playoff games we're 2-14 against them over the past sixteen years. Could be another belter.
The Catch 2 - Terrell Owens on YT to relive that epic wild card game.

| RGIII is having surgery right this minute on his Lateral collateral ligament and his ACL is to be evaluated and if further surgery is needed then it will be done. He apparently injured his knee the play before he went down and was carried off.

| Prognosis on RGIII is 6- 8 months so hopefully he will be back by the start of next season. Anyway, I think the Redskins can take the East with Kirk Cousins.
This is not down to the option. Wilson sure ran a lot last Sunday, as will Kapernick. RGII injuries this year have come in the pocket or on plays which were not designed runs. His designed runs have all been spectacularly successful and injury free. He re-injured his hurt knee Sunday on his second TD pass, a conventional throw from the pocket. The original injury (the Ngata hit) was simply a freak occurrence as RGIII was diving to avoid contact. People are over reacting massively. Tom Brady once missed an entire season due to an injury sustained in the pocket. Peyton's neck injuries were sustained in the pocket. Should QBs not throw from the pocket as well?
Anyway, got three out of four on my picks last weekend and this weekend I'll go for
Denver, New England, Atlanta and Green Bay to win.

I didn't realise until watching Pardon The Interruption on ESPN America that RGIII had done his knee in before. Hopefully he'll be back and as fit as Adrian Peterson was this season. I think some are panicking because of his old knee injury and because of the impach he's made in the NFL so quickly and bringing the Redskins back.

Got the deal for Club Wembley seats for both games when they came out. Thought it was a cracking price.

If we have a fully healthy Nicks we will win it regardless of who is at QB. Nicks is the biggest part of our passing game.

Correct, but when Nicks doesn't play he is far less effective. Double teamed allday.

The guys blown his right knee out twice in 3 years running the option. If you choose, like most Skins fans, to ignore the additional hits etc. garnered from using an offence where the QB is a runner then fair enough. I've discussed this ad nauseum on other sites and can't really be d to get into it again here.
Ravens @ Broncos- Blowout alert
Packers @ 9ers - More out of hope than expectation.
Seahawks @ Falcons - Fancy Matty Ice to be Matty Shite again. Seahawks bang in form while Atlanta's starters limped home when getting beat by the Bucs.
Texans @ Patriots - Another potential blowout. Had Andy Dalton not been terrible last week then the Bengals would be here.

'" I can see why you can't be d discussing it because you choose to ignore the fact that the inury was caused on a drop pback pass from the pocket and not an option play. This fact doesn't suit what you have to say about the subject so you can't be d.
Fair enough.
