A guy from the year above me in 6th form seems to be doing well at Stade Francais, he's played a few games this year and played for England U20s recently too. Someone from my year is at Leeds Carnegie as well IIRC, and scored for them in the Twickenham Sevens last year.

WOW... just WOW.
A professional sports club in debt....
Man U FC, liverpool FC, Portsmouth FC, Cardiff City FC.... o dear football is screwed..!!!
There is money problems in all professional sports.
There are plenty of RL teams in debt.
Just becuase a union team has come open it dont mean ..... other than wasps are in a spot of bother

The difference is that HMRC aren't chasing unpaid tax from those "two biggest football teams".
Debt, per se, is not a problem. It's debt that you can't repay that is the issue. Granted, HMRC are getting more tetchy with sports clubs over unpaid tax but issuing a winding-up order isn't exactly the first step they take to reclaim what they're owed. |

So am I not one of the RL union haters now?
I would very much doubt that this statement from HMRC is a significant threat to [iLondon[/i Wasps in any way. The mention of a planned new stadium in High Wycombe would suggest they certainly aren't worried by the financial situation they find themselves in. |
