You're rolling off his achievements. You have to remember Carlito is a proud person. He wouldn't let Boca pay for surgery on his scars because they are "who he is" and he is proud of that.
If you felt your bosses wanted you gone, or felt un-respected by your employers, would you not want out?

Ah, don't you know anything? Anything Liverpool do eclipses anything any other club will ever do, even if other teams ever equal and overtake them in trophies won. No one will ever have their history.

| Quote: RedTez "Let him go and see how succesful he is. I've had enough with him now. I loved the fella, but the whole thing is getting boring. If he feels he's been dis-respected because he's not started every match, let him sob down the M62 to Liverpool, filling Joorabchins pockets, where he'll no doubt feel dis-respected again; he will not start every game at any top club. If starting every game is what he wants, City is his best bet.
It makes me laugh, last season, everyone wanted Ronaldo hung when he wouldn't commit his future to United, me included, but Tevez is some sort of hero? It doesn't sit right with me all of a sudden. He has publically stated his desire to leave and go to one of our rivals. The sooner we're shut of him, the better now. What should've been a weekend all about winning the league and equalling Liverpools title haul, has been all about him. Joorabchin must be loving it.
Thanks for the last 2 years Carlos, you've been sensational, but if you want to move, don't let the door hit you on the way out.'"
The difference is IMO, Ronaldo didn't answer any questions about his future, just said he dreams about playing for Real Madrid despite having a number of years left on his contract. Tevez hasn't been offered a contract to stay at United despite it expiring and having had an agreement with United to sign him permanantly.
I think a lot of it is that Kia bloke trying to get the best deal from United or another club, knowing too well that City have $hit loads of cash to spend. Kia won't want Tevez saying he wants to stay at United just in case he can't agree a deal with United. Unfortunately, that's the way football and dodgy agents run nowadays.

Under the new rules the FA brought in about third party deals after the original Tevez and Mascherano fiasco, would Tevez be allowed to sign for another Premier League side unless he severed his attachment to MSI and Joorabchian?

If I was paid a reasonable fee, and the company delivered on all it's promises to me, and I felt I could fulfil my ambition with the company, I would stay.
I don't understand where the lack os respect has come from. That is what has made me change my opinion on the matter. Is it because United have not taken up the option to buy him yet? This is an economical decision. I don't know what the figure is that has been agreed, but say it's £20m for arguments sake....United have Carlito until the end of the season, no matter what. What is the advantage of putting £20m into MSI's bank rather than having it sit in yours accruing interest (in theory, current economic conditions aside)? Secondly, if United think a deal can be done to reduce this end figure, why not explore it? Anyone who thinks that the club will paid whatever the seller wants is mistaken. Similarly, if United don't think the player is worth the agreed sum, they won't pay it.
Is it because he hasn't been "first choice". If not, he needs to get a reality check. Who is first choice at United? Maybe 7 players....max? (Edwin, Evra, Rio, Vidic, Carrick, Ronaldo, Rooney). If every player was of that opinion, they would all be moaning to the press.
Don't get me wrong, I love the guy's attitude and what he brings to the club. It's just the stories in the press and his quotes have rubbed me up the wrong way.

This next deal will be exclusively between Tevez and the club who buy him. MSI will hold no rights over the players ownership.

A good point.
However, conversely, you could argue that when Liverpool won the European Cup the first 4 times, it was akin to the UEFA cup because there were only about 4 decent teams in it.
Swings and roundabouts.

I could be miles off here, but this is my interpretation of it: West Ham bought Tevez/Mascherano from their Corinthians contracts but not from MSI, so MSI still owned part of them.
MSI had to pay West Ham money to release Tevez from his contract so that he could join us. And under new FA laws, whichever club "buys" Tevez will need to agree a deal with MSI (such as a fee) so that the club owns 100% of the player.
This must surely mean that if MSI are wanting £25million for Tevez, they must value his commercial rights at that as he doesn't benefit MSI for any other reason. United's lawyers are looking into whether or not we can actually get him on a Bosman for the simple fact that he isn't contracted to a club, and therefore we shouldn't in theory have to pay a fee.

I think you're right, this has meant Utd have not confirmed there offer as per the original agreement and therefore Kia/Carlos think they have been disrespected.
I like Tevez but the one thing we do lack is a goalscorer so maybe if he were to go then we could bring in someone who wants top play off the shoulder of the last man rather than dropping deep like Tevez, Rooney and Tevez do now.

Everything is crossed in the hope that Bassong gets his red card from Saturday overturned.
