| There has to be a building on this though for City, rather than just looking at what has been achieved in the second half of the season and expecting the same bunch of players to carry on in the same vein next year. Depending on the financial situation McCall should be given a bit of cash to splash in the summer, as you can't expect to challenge with a squad full of frees and loans.

Well now Donovan Ricketts cant come back to the UK his contract is terminated so that should free up some money for transfers.

We hope! Must have been close to 1500 City fans there tonight, obviously we had a few people believing!
Actually really enjoyed it, despite the defeat, we played reasonably well and could have nicked a point, but 'dale were the better team, in fact I'd say they were the best team I've seen us play this season (more based on the game at VP than tonight) and are a good bet to win the play-offs.
Thinking about it we must have dropped at least 12 points in the last few minutes of games this season, what might have been eh? However, if we play like this til the end of the season, and use the money freed from high earners getting off the books to get some good League 2 players in for next term I'll be feeling optimistic for next year, and it's not often I say that.

| Obviously disappointed but at least it dispells any thoughts or hopes we had for the play-offs, which probably (nay, were) impossible to reach!
At least we can hope to finish strongly with no pressure and finish in the top 10 maybe.
Looking forward to next season, get rid of some high earners, Thorne has taken a wage cut to stay which is terrific, he will bang them in provided fully fit, and Topp will be fit for pre-season.
Optimistic!

Theye were excellent at VP. Was Perkins as good last night as he was at VP? He's the best midfielder I've seen in this division

He was good last night, didn't run the show like he practically did at VP, but he gave our midfield a bit of a run-around at times as they had the upper hand in the middle of the park.

| Jeez, that first half tonight was abysmal.
I left at half-time and got home 5 minutes into the second half of the Liverpool/Arsenal game, I know we got a draw but I daresay I didn't miss much.

You didn't. Although there was far more commitment in the 2nd half and we actually put together some decent football. Shame we had Medley up front who looks Unibond League quality at best.
I actually contemplated leaving at HT too

Well I was far from the only one, there were about 10 people waiting for the steward to open the gate to set us free!
I only decided to bother going at about 7, so to see such a half-assed effort hacked me off no end.
Not seen much of Medley (missed his goal as I was at Wembley) but I haven't been too impressed with what I have seen, he ended up on the bench at Cambridge City on his loan spell, so I think that says it all.

I was at Wembley that day too, but that seems to be all he's done so far. His touch is horrendous and I don't see him being around for too long. Some City fans seem to think he's the saviour though, even though he was even worse than Daley.
