| Hawks hammered by the Canucks 7-3. The one in one out switching costing the Hawks with Huet making the start then getting pulled after 20 mins.

| Blackhawks recover from their loss in Vancouver with a 3-1 win against the Thrashers in Atlanta.
Quenneville singled Khabibulin out for his starring role in the win turning away 36 shots, saying 'we played poorly but he didn't and he was the reason we won tonight'.
I see Sean Avery has now cleared waivers and will be playing in the AHL with the Hartford Wolf Dogs (the Rangers affiliate team) after agreement between the Stars & Glen Sather. So may see hiim return to the Rangers after the end of this season?

| Chicago get back home from their 8 game road trip and beat the Stars 6-2.The one bad thing from the game is what could be a bad injury to Sharp.

| Leafs beat the Pens in Toronto on a Saturday again, coming back from 2-0 down to win 6-2, scoring five 3rd period goals with Jason Blake getting two in 19 seconds and only being denied a third by an excellent save by Fleury.
Pens looked anything but a team hoping to make the playoffs.

| Hawks beat the Panthers in the sunshine state with a shutout 4-0.
Huet getting his 3rd shut out of the season and standing up to the challenge of being the current starting netminder due to Khabibulins injury.

I wonder if the way Huet is playing it could sway Tallon into trading Khabby at the deadline to get some forward help for the playoffs. All season i've said Khabby is playing the best but Huet has stepped up his play since Khabby has been injured and I think we are still a top centre away from challenging the Sharks and Wings in the playoffs.

| Mats Sundin's 1st game back in Toronto today, got a mix of cheers and boos during the warm up. However, during the 1st television break, a video tribute to #13 was played, which lead to a standing ovation.
I for one, have lots of respect for Sundin, and dont blame him one bit for leaving, he was treated like dirt last year by the management and fans

Hawks lost 2-1 against the Wild after outplaying and outshooting them, Harding in the net for the Wild played a blinder by all accounts and was just one of those nights for the Hawks.
Don't know if Tallon will trade Khabby at deadline unless a player of real quality comes available. Still think Huet needs a bit more time before he can command the starting role although he does play better when on a run of games.

And went on to get the winner in a 3-2 shootout win for the Canucks. It had to happen really, didn't it?

| Just seen the Highlights of the Hawks loss last night and the Wild's 1st goal was clearly hit with a stick above the crossbar.I think the people in Toronto need to get some glasses as it's not the only one this year in the NHL that they've said is a legal goal when to tv viewers it's clearly over the bar when hit by the stick.

Have to say after seeing the goal that Dallas scored against the Hawks I didnt think it had crossed the line just hit the post and come straight back off it.
With the stick above the crossbar there has been quite few this season that have been allowed to stand and also some scored with kicking actions.

| The Rangers sacked Tom Renney and replace him with John Torterella
Suprised by this move even though the Rangers have been struggling of late as Renney is one of the most successful coaches for the Rangers in win%. Lets face it with the wealth & players they have had available they continually flatter to deceive. Would have given Renney until the end of the season myself, not sure Torterella is the right guy for the Rangers.
Wonder when the Rangers will realise the problems in the club may due to Sather, who for me is living on what was acheived when he was at Edmonton in the 80's as he has done little at MSG.
