The French seem to be taking it very seriously however.'"
So how would you feel if it was an Everton player who wiped their ass with the club shirt?
Evra does seem to be a complete Richard, but it still doesn't make Suarez innocent.

Ditto Michael Carrick when Henderson was picked.

It should have been dealt with at the same time as Suarez and Evra had theirs but because Terry is English the FA wouldn't want anything untoward to happen. It's also a shame Ferdinand hasn't been picked for Euro 2012 because of John Terry.

FFS are you being deliberately stupid?
The scheduling of John Terry's court case has nothing to do with the FA, they cannot set a date for a trial. He is also far from the only person to have a case scheduled to take into account other things that are going on in their lives.
It is entirely reasonable that the FA wait until the outcome of a court case before taking any action, they do not over-ride the law of the land and should not do anything that could prejudice that case.

| The only thing surprising about Evra wiping his ar$e with a French shirt, is the fact that the FA didn't offer to wipe it for him.

Which bin dipping board did you lift that from?
Still condoning racism I see. Classy individual.

I agree up to a point. But if the FA had suspended Terry pending an investigation (something which often happens when such an allegation is made) I suspect the court case would have been dealt with some time ago.

| Rio Ferdinand was in better form than Terry this season, the partnership he formed with Evans was great. The fact that nobody mentioned us not having Vidic all season and still contesting the title was a great compliment to Rio and Evans. Surely Chris Smalling was worth a look as well?

Has Rio said if he will play alongside Terry?
I'd much rather have Ferdinand in the squad than Terry but as: 1) Terry hasnt been found guilty yet; 2) The FA haven't helped Hodgson out by suspending Terry pending the court case; and 3) Terry has said he will play alongside anyone, I don't see how Hodgson can pick Ferdinand unless he also says that he will play willingly alongside Terry.

| I wonder if Rio asked his agent to put out a short 'I'm obviously very disappointed....' type press release, and his agent decided to go a bit further, or was it Rio's choice to sound like a whinging cry-baby?

Just banter, Mark.
As for Martin Kelly. He's a top player, will fight for every ball for England. He will make a fantastic ball-carrying CB one day.

The FA should have suspended him but as he's English then that was not likely to happen. Hopefully he'll get the right verdict in court and have a nice holiday at Her Majesty's pleasure. Suarez should have been there too.

| Really would Ferdinand have made that much difference to our performances in the coming weeks?.
The squad is in transition...time to blood the kids, give them some experience...no expectation this time around so let them enjoy it and not pillar them if it doesn't go well.

The offense of which he is accused isn't imprisonable. Fine at worst.

So the FA stripped Terry of the English captaincy, they ended up sacking their manager because he was peed off about it, but they didn't want anything untoward happening???
Police action is clearly of a more serious nature than being dealt with by the FA, so the FA rightly suspended their investigation pending the outcome of the court case.
Didn't Hodgson say that Ferdinand has only played once for England since 2010? I guess that's Terry's fault too?
