Cant really get into his new intro. He suited his old theme so well. Glad he's back either way!

| Technically, it's not his new intro.
The second i heard it last week, i jumped up and had to stop myself shouting.
The Summer of Punk is coming. The Kings of Wrestling are heading to WWE, possibly Colt Cabana too.
Speaking of Cabana, my brother signed up for his course in Manchester in a fortnight, and actually got a phonecall from Colt himself explaining all the stuff he needs and about the way it's going to work. Could be the next Regal.

Cool, good luck to him.
CM Punk does a great HHH impression btw
And it's going to be Punk vs Cena at Summerslam to crown the true champion. Not that anyone thought it wouldn't be.

| Hey Danny, got the new City Hall programme yesterday. All-Star has done Hull twice a year for a number of years now (usually approx Feb / March and Oct), but they're not doing Oct this year, it lists the next one as Feb. To be honest I fear that's a sign that they're only going to do Hull once a year for the foreseeable future, esp because to be fair business has been down lately when I've been.
Support British wrestling where you can folks, our scene was probably a great help to many people over the years like Regal, Finley, Whisper, Barrett and Sheamus. Be very sad if our biggest company IS in decline (hopefully I'm jumping the gun and it's just a case of the Hall not been available for the date they wanted or something).

But the thing is, SS is the sort of thing that could even be enhanced by a Dusty finish. It would be the logical way to continue the feud

Yeah I guess. Without being negative I think they've kinda messed up the full potential anyway. By having Punk return so early it makes him look full of crap and a guy who is not true to his word - everything he said about how disgusted he was with the company, the politics, a$$ kissing etc. IMO they should have thought long-term and not just rushed him back for ratings / SummerSlam. I'd have had him completely removed from TV for at least a month (no mention of his name), then slowly done little things that have been done before but still work, e.g. have him 'buy a ticket' for Raw and be sat ringside and then dive in the ring to attack Cena, before getting dragged away by security, that kinda thing. Make him look like a real rebel who really is trying to raise hell with the company like Austin used to. Now it just seems he's toed the company line and gone against everything he said, even though it is still a good angle.

But they did address most of those points about Punk's return on Monday's Raw. Punk said he can't change anything sat on his sofa so came back.
Hopefully they can keep the momentum going. Not expecting a MitB level match at SS simply because there's not as much on the line. But both Punk and Cena showed how good a match they can have so it should still be an event

Yeah that's fair comment re Punk / sofa, just feel it's a shame they couldn't have done more with it over a longer period of time. Know what you mean though, and tbf to WWE at least they are explaining storylines these days and trying to show logic.
Should be a good match, be interesting to see if there is a screwjob involving HHH and / or Laurinitis (sp). One thing I would definitely do when an undisputed champion is crowned is change that God damn belt! (sorry, 'championship' ). Bloody awful-looking thing that. Granted it's been great for them, they've sold replicas by the truck-load, but after more than 6 years it is now surely time for a change. The winged-eagle one was an absolutely fantastic belt for example.

| Listened to an ESPN podcast with Punk and he said he's already plotting how to make his next match with Cena even better than the last. So I wouldn't rule it out. MITB won't be topped though purely down to the atmosphere in Chicago and realism of the match.
He also claimed he only made his mind up to resign at MITB.
You can't blame WWE for bringing back Punk immediately, given the amount of money that they're going to make off him. I reckon the ebay craze for his new t-shirt probably forced their hand too.
IT is a shame though, they could have kept Punk away from TV and have him interfere at Summerslam, building up to Survivor Series!

| they've knackered themselves up somewhat now, obviously they do the long term planning working back from WM and through the year, and del rio was earmarked to become champion, CM punk has really thrown a spanner in the works.
We've now got cena v rock at WM and del rio with a guarenteed title shot that they now keep putting off, and if punk goes over in this feud i can't see them going heel versus heel.
