| Quote: Anakin Skywalker "I agree with what you say about the shield.................Then Cena beats them on his own with 1 good leg last Monday. Now I know they all won last night but then you have to ask why did they to put over superman when he didn't need it anyway?
The thing with Ryback is how many times can 1 guy get beat at a PPV (He didn't win last night either) and still look strong? I don't honestly think they know what to do with him and it's hurting him in the process.
I still stick by the fact that the WWE won't/can't look past Cena and they will pay for it long term'"
Because WWE are back in the attitude they had in the late 80's early 90's. Hogan was still around but being phased out as he was wanting to become a movie star. So WWE/ Vince thought that because they'd made Hogan into this media icon that they could easily do it again. So the belt goes to Warrior. That's a bust. So in comes Psycho Sid, simply because he's big and muscular. Bust again. Lex Luger? Choke artist. Bret Hart? Buried, ironically, by Hogan and his ego.
But then we start to get the attitude era and guys like Taker, HBK, Stone Cold, The Rock and Foley come along.
But after they go, there's not a lot of new characters coming in to take their spots. And we get the situation we're in now.
However, I think the Shield were shown as strong at the PPV as both title wins were clean and had no outside interference. As for all the gold? I'm not sure it'd be a good idea right now.

I understand the history (I did watch it after all) but that still doesn't explain why Cena can never lose to anyone cleanly (Ignore him against the Rock as that has been proved just to be another 'Cena over coming massive odds' again).
I still go back to Cena beating the shield on his own and have to ask why? 3 against 1 means a loss for Cena doesn't hurt him at all but a shield loss there weakens them and all because super Cena needs to strike again.
Let me ask another question does anyone think Cena will drop the gold cleanly if you are being honest?
Let me clarify my position BTW Cena is the WWE top guy so keeping him away from the belt was brave and after over a year it's time he had it back BUT he never left the main event (Always was on last) even without it so how can anyone else push to be the top guy when they face a glass ceiling like that?

| RIP Mick McManus.
Makes a change to say that about a wrestler who had a full innings.
Still a better heel that pretty much any guy going today.

| Payback Sunday. Can't wait for the return of Punk. Hope they bite the bullet and make it the main event rather than Cena v Ryback.
My picks
Shield
Cena
Punk
Ziggler
Axel
Ambrose
AJ Lee
Sheamus....nice to see a surprise with Sandow winning though. He deserves a push.

| No, Cena vs Ryback HAS to be the main event. It's for the title.
But it should be about the title, which it won't be.

When Punk had the strap he was often shafted for Cena's grudge matches. This is the return of the company's top talent, in his home town, in what is as close as you'll get to a super match.
Give the UNIVERSE what it wants....maybe let them vote via the WWE App

| Despite my predictions I've staked money on Y2J (11/2) and Sandow (7/2). Not overly confident on the second one as it's on the pre-show. Hopefully they put Y2J over some how and it would lead for a good built up to Summerslam.

| Well I didn't think Payback was that bad a PPV.
The Punk vs Jericho match was well worked and, although it was in his home town, seemed to do what was needed in terms of turning Punk face. The Del Rio vs Ziggler match did something similar with Del Rio being able to show a callous heel side and Ziggler showing his fighting spirit. It's rare you get a double face/heel turn and this match did it well.

| So, did Henry have you fooled? Marked out a bit when he strongest slammed Cena. Though they built it up for a fall way too much, it seemed so genuine.
Think we were all expecting Brock v Punk but maybe not so quite soon, so that was a surprise. Great RAW.
I slept through most of Payback unfortunately, £15 well spent. Good show though.

| The Sting to WWE rumours are back. It would keep them from feeding Cena to Taker at WM31.

| TNA Impact was very, very good.
And yes I did spot it was Aries before he revealed himself.
It was still a mark out moment when it actually happened however.

| There's a biopic in the works regarding the life of Chris Benoit. Liev Schreiber is set to play him.
I'm interested to see the finished result. I, in now way, endorse what Benoit did in his final hours of life, but I feel he was a sick man who's been turned into a demon by people looking to get their face on camera rather than look beyond his crime to the reasons behind it.
