| i enjoy watching khan as a fighter and havent seen anything from him in interviews to suggest he has a personality problem
i was just saying he strikes me as the type of person whose success may go to his head.

Provided he could get near enough, then the natural light welter would probably beat the smaller man, yes. He'd have to catch him first though, and we all saw the problems Ricky has with fighters who don't move in straight lines against PBF.

Tarver was a class above, he did a really good job on Clinton.
I only gave Woods two rounds!
Over to Joe Calzaghe now

| Watched the Cotto fight this morning,as big a mismatch as you'll see,the Kermit v Margareta fight was much better,Kermit is a lot better than he showed last night imo but Margareta got some cracking body punches in.I was a bit wary of the prize fighter on friday night but it turned out to be great viewing, how the bookmakers made Dolan the favourite against Rogan i'll never know,he looked like the winner early on.

Just seen bits myself and it could've been stopped earlier. Cotto dominated and is getting better and better with every fight. His defence is a little worrying at times, but I reckon he's Floyd Mayweather's best fight at the moment. Hopefully it'll be made within the next couple of years.

| Cotto - different gravy. Gomez was outclassed from the first bell and it was just a case of when Cotto wanted to finish it. He seemed more concerned about potentially seriously hurting Gomez and it was a relief when the doctor stepped in.
Surprised by Cintron's defeat. We all know how wily Margarito is, but I fancied Cintron to blast him out of there. Margarito walked through the bombs early and Cintron froze, not knowing what else to do. From then on it was a question of time.
Woods - disappointing. I thought he could get at Tarver, but Tarver fought a good fight, keeping Woods on the outer. A bit like Hatton against Mayweather, Woods took too many trying to get on the inside. Did a bit of damage once there, but had to soak up a lot in between times.
It's been a good career for Woods. A real trier, he's made the most of what he's got, but I reckon that's it now.

Margarito was very impressive in his fight last night.

Reminded me a bit of Cotto vs. Mosley in that regard. Cintron, although more confident than in his first meeting with Margarito, couldn't hack the pressure and amount of punches the Mexican throws...again. He doesn't seem to like the trench battles. Still reckon there's a decent future for him though.

I wonder whether Woods was either purely outclassed or froze on the night. The latter is a concern for Calzaghe next week. Can he perform at this best, outside of his back yard?

Amateur reputation - Dolan was probably the most skilled fighter of the bunch, but 3x3 in the pro ranks isn't about being cute and working behind the jab waiting for your chance.
Over 8 or 10 rounds I'd back Dolan to beat anybody in that competition, including Rogan.

| That Prize fighter thing was entertaining, although I’m not sure of the idea of it being Boxings answer to 20-20 cricket.
The fights were fights and there was little boxing involved within them. looking a little brutal at times. Some of the punches they were walking onto even I could feel right down to my toes.
Were the fighters paid to keep their hands down? I don’t think I saw anyone show any defence at all!

To be fair, I'm not sure how many (if any) were ranked in the top 10 heavyweights in Britain prior to the event. They were mainly undercard fighters who like a tear-up but lack a great deal in skills, ideal fodder for that kind of event.
You were never going to get people with a career to develop and reputation to protect putting it on the line in that kind of "bear baiting" environment, which is why it surprised me that Dolan got involved.

Saw the trails for it and decided to give a body swerve as soon as Scott Gammer came on the screen. If it's that level, I'm not interested.
