| John Terry is a bell end, but IMO if the Chelsea players were happy having him in full kit in the celebrations then so be it, it's their moment, they naturally would have wanted him to share in it after what happened in Moscow. That said, i never wanted to see him win a CL medal, ever, nor did i want Cashley to win one, but Cashley was faultless last night, and his pen was unstoppable, so fair play.

| Quote: Lord God Jose Mourinho "I know the rest of the country hates John Terry so they see something bad in everything he does, but I'd much rather my club captain shows absolute delight at seeing his team mates take the Champions League trophy than describing the event as "just about the worst experience I'd had in football".'"
Terry is a horrible human being. His presence in the England squad leaves a massive dark cloud over the Euros for me. The best way to deal with the Terry/Ferdinand issue was to not pick either of them. Neither are that great now and neither are going to be around for the World Cup. There is plenty of quality in Jagielka, Jones, Cahill, Lescott etc.
As for the CL celebrations I don't have a problem with it. I thought it was a tad desperate coming onto the field in a full kit when he'd been in the crowd in a suit, but I don't mind him celebrating with his team mates.
I did think their refusal to back Di Mateo for the managers job was a tad strange though. It seems a very cliquey club.

I tend to agree with that.....I must say I found the after match celebrations a bit odd, and were a sad indictment of the modern day 'mercenary' footballer.
Players were running around in little groups, all looking for their moment of adulation from the Chelsea fans....Drogba seemed to be convinced he had won the Cup on his own, doing his very own lap of honour....
It was plain to see that Chelsea are a club of egos, which would lend credence to the rumour that any manager at that club will, more often than not, have their fates decided by those egos with the loudest voices.

I think the AVB debacle showed that.
A very good manager trying to change the culture of the club and the way they played - that didn't include Lampard as a permanent member of the starting XI so they sulked and stopped playing for him.

| Most big football clubs are a collection of egos - some in the boardroom, some in the managers office, some in the dressing room.
Being able to put your ego aside and throw in a 120 minute shift for your mates under pressure is the sign of a bloody good side though, and it's something this Chelsea team have done twice away from home in hostile atmospheres recently.

I have no doubts about that and fully applaud Chelsea's efforts on the pitch, but it was a touch saddening to see how 'separate' the team were during their celebrations.
It said a hell of a lot about modern day football.

You obviously place a lot of trust in tabloid hacks. I don't. I don't think you are in any way qualified to be able to judge what he is like as a person.

Well I think Terry has been excellent this season. I think he's still a great defender. I cannot judge him against the other players, but there's always names flying around of people who are ready to step in, and usually those names disappear within a few months when they are shown to not be all that.
I'm 100% Chelsea and don't really care about England. But I do find it ironic that most modern players are castigated for not caring about their country. But pretty much all of the Chelsea players clearly love playing for their country and want to play as much as possible. And the response from England fans is to pretty much slag them off all the time and say they shouldn't be picked anyway.

Plenty of the players have said he should get the job.
They are wrong though. Hopefully the club make the right decision and bring in a top quality, long term manager and give him the freedom and time to build the team.

I'm not a celebration guy. I turned off the TV as soon as the FA Cup final was over. I just wanted to go home after Leeds won the Grand Final. But I watched the celebrations last night and I loved them.
If Drogba didn't earn his "lap of honour" then who the hell has? We were dead and buried, the cup was pretty much in Bayern's hands and he smashed the header in. And with his probably last kick as a Chelsea player he scored the winning penalty. This was the same season as he cost his country the African Nations Cup because he missed his penalty. The same game as he nearly cost his side by giving away a penalty. With what happened in Moscow with JT (partly down to Didier because he got sent off) obviously the emotions of the night must have been something ridiculous. I LOVED seeing Drogba's run and can't think that any Chelsea fan would feel any different.
If oppo fans choose to paint a different picture, that's up to them.
