| Plenty of things irritated me about Raw, can't really be bothered to go into all of them but this was top of the list.
I've obviously never been a pro wrestling creative writer and they know far more than me as a mere fan. But I just couldn't comprehend what they did with the Tough Enough finale.
They put a lot of time and money into the series. They have a huge build up to announcing the winner. He's announced. Now if I was in charge of writing these shows my main priority would be ensuring that the winner makes a huge impact and a lasting impression on the audience in his first showing on Raw.
Off the top of my head - after Austin announces him, he could thank him and then immediately cheapshot him when his back is turned. He could nail Booker and Bill Demott with the belt, approach Trish and scare the hell out of her. He could then cut some sort of promo about how he doesn't respect anybody, how they've outlived their usefulness now he's got where he wants to be...etc etc. Something like that. Makes people take notice, grabs attention and convinces people he's going to be somebody.
What actually happens - he gets floored by a slap from a man in his mid 60's, stunned by Austin and crawls out of the ring looking like an idiot. Can someone explain that to me?

Well, it's probably because he's going off to the development territory for the next 6 months to a year, so it doesn't really matter what they do to him right now as the next time you see him, he'll have a completely different gimmick.
But yes, in terms of actually making Tough Enough actually mean something how they treated the winner really doesn't help matters.

They were obviously trying to make the company look tough. As in, the 'hard work starts now' type thing. Which is true enough - the kid is still raw, he's certainly not ready for such a push before anyone has even seen how he copes in the company. Also, I doubt Booker, Bill and Austin would be happy putting a rookie over in the way you have described. Andy won the contract, he didn't win the right to a push ahead of guys that have been working hard for years.
On a similar note, apparently Jeremiah from Tough Enough has already made his debut in the WWE developmental territory.

| Anyone else hooked on the Hogan/Warrior war of words? I feel like I'm back as a kid in the 80's!
Surely Warrior's stepping right into a lawsuit with his latest comments?

TBH, I've seen some of it and it put me in mind of two 10 year olds in a playground. But Warrior doesn't have the normal filters that the rest of us do so I'm not surprised he's said something that could lead to legal action.

| I was listening to a pod cast last night whilst trying out an app and they were saying it's all clearly a 'work' for TNA and that there is going to be some sort of storyline on there between the two of them.

Sure, it's not me saying it! Besides, I don't think a small wrestling discussion on a rugby league forum will be at the top of Hogan's priorities TBH. The worst accusations are that he's a coke addict and that him and his ex wife had a very open relationship.
Fwiw I love the Ultimate Warrior, always have. Its just a shame he didn't become the phenomenon he could have been. He clearly can talk with intelligence and with sense and there have been times where he has shown he can be a decent wrestler. If he'd have just mixed that in a little more with all of the great qualities that he had (intensity, look, character) the sky would have been the limit.
Still one of the all time greats though, irrespective of longevity and title reigns. The Warrior's far more of a pro wrestling icon than some of the modern 'superstars' with 5+ World title reigns.

Lol, sweet, thanks mate.
Fully agree, yes he's a bit 'out there' and he does have plenty of critics, but the guy sold out a 60,000+ arena at WrestleMania with Hulk Hogan, there's only some a select number of special stars who've done that (e.g. Rock and Andre), so he does deserve credit for what he achieved in wrestling.
Re this been an angle in TNA, FFS if true what are they thinking?! Hogan v Warrior in 1990 was amazing, 1998 it was rotten, so what would this be?!

| Will probably check that shoot interview out when it's released, the guy sure doesn't like the Hulkster these days eh!

Talk with intelligence and sense? We talking about the same Warrior? Decent wrestler? The guy has less moves in his nal than John Cena, but without the latter's ability to protect his opponent.
Warrior's best matches came when he was put with guys like Rick Rude who could work and could get a decent match out of him

Hmm, fully agree with you mate, the only thing I'll say in Warrior's defence is he was a hell of a lot more effective at been a babyface then Cena, i.e. you never used to hear Warrior get booed back then. However, Cena has been the man in WWE for six years now (whereas Warrior was only the guy for a year max really), has sold an insane amount of merch in that time, and has a long / more successful career, so I guess Cena wins that comparison!

Have to agree with Warrior that it does seem a bit suspect Hogan's claim that him and Randy made peace before he died - they basically hated each other for more than 10 years!
