| Quote: 100% Wire "Hypocrisy knows no bounds unfortunately. Collymore IMO is an excellent pundit, one of very few on TalkSport, talks a lot of sense. He is however very prone to becoming very uppity about racial issues, dismissing and retweeting anybody who seems to hold a different view to his own. Joey Barton...needs no words. I'll be honest, i've never heard of Paul Davis, he's from slightly before my time, but he seems in the same boat as Barton in the way that he's got no room to talk. Even before i looked at his profile on that link, i had a feeling he'd be somehow involved in the elevation of black people in football. Why is there the attitude of ''we NEED more black managers in football'' by the way? Isn't everybody supposed to be there on merit. not just for tokenism.'"
Davis was by no means a dirty player or a gobe nobhead off it iirc, however he threw a punch and broke someone's jaw (thats the haymaker lottery if you throw a punch). I can't remember him being involved in anything else controversial either on or off the pitch unlike Stanley Victor or Collymore.

Collymore likes the sound of his own voice and uses big words to make out he's had an educayshun - he actually talks a lot of cobblers if you analyse it - anyone can find big words in a dictionary and learn their meanings - he sounds intelligent but he's a big mouthed lout who proclaims he's 'one of the lads' when really he's just a highly paid attention seeker with some serious psychological problems

Dear Mr Rodgers/Liverpool FC
If said player hadn't been a cheating little runt previously and gone down like a whore on several previous occasions, he may be awarded penalties.

Sadly, that's becoming more and more prevalent in football.
You do wonder though, if there's 2 or 3 more times where he goes down and doesn't get a penalty, and it was a foul, how much that could begin to influence the ref in the same way someone with a reputation for diving would.
I'm sure this happened at Everton with Andy Johnson a few years ago and Moyes sent the FA a DVD of the 'dives' in question.

Should Anton Ferdinand be sacked for what he did?
Should Rio Ferdinand be sacked for what he did?
Because the same moronic charge of "well in any other job he'd be fired" applies just as much to the antics of the Ferdinand brothers.

| You're right. I'd fully expect to be sacked if I felt I was racially abused by someone.

Rio Ferdinand and John Terry have both been found guilty of the same offence by the FA.
The abuse that Anton Ferdinand admitted in court to using against John Terry would be a sackable offence in nearly every other job.
So should Anton and Rio Ferdinand be sacked by their clubs too?

Seeing as you ask, the reason I wrote that was because Paul Davis is the same Paul Davis who got banned for 9 games for BREAKING ANOTHER PLAYER'S JAW WITH A PUNCH. A detail the journo failed to mention when filling in the career details of this man who people clearly struggle to remember.'"
Thanks for clearing that up. I wasn't aware of that so my apologies if I sounded y.
Quote: Lord God Jose Mourinho "And I just find it ridiculous that three of Terry's quickest critics happen to be Barton, Collymore and Davis. What Terry has done in the entirety of his career doesn't add up to what each of those to55ers have done in a single incident.'"
They're media types aren't they, although perhaps we can give Collymore and Davis some leeway on racism because I expect they have valid contributions to make on that subject. Barton I'm less interested in hearing from.

Joey Barton is still a QPR player, by the way.
Obviously, because he's not a well known player or anything, you'll have forgotten about him.
So here's a little refresh for you.
He's been sent to prison for violence. He's also been given a suspended prison sentence for violence, because he attacked a team mate at training. He's stubbed out a cigar in a youth players eyelid.
His first red card was for abusing a referee in the tunnel at half time.
He was sent home from a pre season tournament for assaulting a 15 year old boy.
He was arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage after an alleged argument with a taxi driver in Liverpool while going to his hotel after a match on 13 March 2007.
But Chelsea should sack John Terry, right?
