| I wonder if Fergie will be moaning at the lack of injury time today?

What about Ancelotti then? Can he take Chelski to the next level? Seen as though Chelski lost to Man City. The same Man City who hadn't won in 7 league games previously.

I really don't see Mancini making a success of it if the rumour is true. Yeah he did well in Italy but wasn't this at a time when most of the big clubs had been docked points/relegated? At least Hughes will get to leave with his reputation intact.
From the BBC live text,
1657: Mark Hughes claps every corner of the City of Manchester Stadium, waves to the City fans and then departs down the tunnel. Forgive me, but that looked like a farewell.

Well he's started off fine. Top of the league, 3 points ahead of Man United and a game in hand. Qualified for the CL unbeaten.
The jury is still out though. Poor selections against Blackburn and Citeh. Awful defending against Everton lost two points. His insistence on playing the diamond has pretty much killed Frank Lampard's performances.
The Man City defeat - hopefully just a bad day at the office.
But Hughes is under serious pressure with very little to fall back on. Carlo Ancellotti has 2 CL wins and Serie A title to fall back on, as well as being top of the league.

No offence but i hope you get beat tomorrow. There's a real chance that this year the league could be exciting instead of the usual 2 horse race although Chelski could easily make it into a one horse race if they find some consistency.
The jury is still out for me on your gaffer as well. I think he may well do well for a year or so but i don't know if he will be able to keep you ticking over for a long time.
TBF to Sparky the Man City job is a poisoned chalice. For me he has them progress just about well enough to keep his job. You don't turn into a title winning team overnight unless you have somebody like Mourinho in charge. Probably the worst thing about him leaving, if the story is confirmed at 1930, is that taking the Citeh job has probably ruined his chance of taking over from Fergie when he retires.

I wouldn't expect anything different.

Mourinho only took Chelsea from second place to first. I don't think even he would expect to take Citeh to the top 2.
The Citeh job was a good job for Hughes to take at the time. He's done okay, but IMO the different targets of the new owners have made his position unsafe. I think he emerges from this, if he does go now, pretty well. Most chairman will have sympathy for his position and put it down to the change in ownership.
I think United fans would see past him managing Citeh if he was to prove himself as a manager. Citeh fans got over him being ex United and Chelsea. He's still an ex United playing legend at the end of the day. If he's a managerial success I think United fans would love for him to come back as manager.

Think they can do what they want, because they've suddenly got money.
Reackon they'll be getting a slap on the wrist for that. All clubs will be contractually obligated to give post match interviews.

| Man City are 6th ... 4 points behind 4th placed Spurs with a game in hand. I know that success / failure is measured in different ways by different Clubs with different aspirations but come on, this is hardly abject failure.
They got beat badly in midweek admittedly ... so did United today ... Taxi for Fergie ... I think not.
