| Quote: Fresh Prince of Chesh-air "The worst thing about Ricky Hatton, or anyone who does this for that matter, is when he talks in the third person. "Maybe its time that Ricky Hatton gave Ricky Hatton a good talking too about what Ricky Hatton is gonna do to Ricky Hatton if he doesn't listen to Ricky Hatton when Ricky Hatton is talkin in the third person to him (Ricky Hatton)"'"
Considering he has been boxing for 20 plus years can you blame him for having to constantly remind himself of what his name is.

| I think had Hatton got a fairer crack from Cortez during the Mayweather fight, he would have probably accepted that defeat a little easier because Roger Mayweather purposefully called Hatton a dirty fighter before the fight and from round one, Cortez was breaking things up when there was no need to. I still think Mayweather would have come out on top though because he is one of the best defensive fighters of all time.
The Pacquiao knock-out is the fight is the one that really has done for him mentally though, because as 140lb Champion at the time, he rightly expected to walk through a fighter who's natural fighting weight is probably around 130lbs, but judging by experts such as Victor Conte's comments over the last few years (as well as fighters such as Malignaggi), it's pretty obvious Pacquiao has been juicing since he moved up to fight Diaz @ 135lbs a year before the Hatton fight.
At least Hatton got those fights out of his system some what and can now retire with a sense of peace hopefully.
Anyway, I'm now more excited about what may lay ahead for Kell Brook in the new year because he'll wipe the floor with Alexander for the IBF belt and then the world would be his oyster - he's already ranked number 3 behind Mayweather and Pacquiao on Ring Magazine's Welterweight rankings so things are looking good for him...

| Tyson Fury and Kevin Johnson managed to stink the place out last night......Johnson was an absolute joke, no more than a slightly mobile punchbag, how he ever got a shot at the title is mystifying.
As for Fury, he is a nerve ridden wreck.....He must use up 80% of his energies on unneccessary head and body movement. By all means have head movement, but Fury takes it to the extreme, with his constant running around and twitching of the head.
Having seen David Price on Friday night, you have to say there is a big difference in class between them.....Price actually plants his feet when he punches, which is the reason why many of his opponenets are simply blown away - Fury loses all his power, because when he punches he's already running off to the corner of the ring to avoid a counter.
If they ever meet, Price will see off Fury when he eventually catches up with him, probably around the 6th or 7th round....Fury's only chance will be to run and steal a points decision - I don't believe Fury has the power at top level and I believe this running and punching tactic is an acknowledgment of that.

Yes , It wasn't a great fight was it. I agree about Price though , He'll finish Fury off in under 5 rounds imo

| just seen that trout beat cotto! bit of a surprise that...never heard of him before this...
seems hes been avoided being a south paw, cotto struggled with him... trout does say no one wants to fight him too, will be following him with interest.
guzman suffered his first loss, bad injuries to his knee and hand when falling over his opponent, think hes finished now...shame he never had a career defining fight.
fury surprised me how in shape he was, from previously anyway... dont really rate him though, think price would beat him. chisora maybe next for price, that will be a good fight.
eubank junior came through against a seasoned pro, got caught a fair few times mind and he doesnt have much power, think degale would beat him at this point in his career.

| Price could do with actually stepping up a level now. While he is only belting Audley Harrison and a 45 year old out of the ring, it is just all talk about him.

| Trout gave it to Cotto good, although I don't think the margin was as wide as the judges made out. In our section everyone was saying Trout by a couple. Cotto started to fade at the mid point of the fight too and Trout was the aggressor for the rest then. I suppose, knowing what American judges go for, that's where the bigger margin came from. There were a lot of upset Cotto fans in MSG after the fight anyway, that's for sure. I was happy with the result anyway. I was cheering for Trout and he is the deserved champ.
