He has made a complete @rse of himself by saying Sunday's performance was the best since he's been at Liverpool, apparently they didn't deserve to be 1-0 down at half time eventhough they'd created one chance, a Torres flicked header which Howard comfortably saved and apart from that nothing else. I'm certain the Arsenal performance was much better and surely the Sunderland one? He doesn't have to go mental but some of the stuff he has been chatting lately's made him look a complete tool.

| Thing is, Dan, what he said could be seen as completely honest. Other than 15 mins in each half against Arsenal, we've been second best in every game we've played this season. So, as comical as Roy sounds, he's being honest, which is why he should go, because nothing he's brought in has worked, after 15 games or so - and things getting much worse - you have to look at whether things will get any better, because it seems Roy is getting happier with how we're playing, which is frightening.

Fair enough, that's plausible but extremely worrying. If that's the best no wonder it's only been one win and Blackpool came and won at Anfield. Whereas it's been so frustrating for us because, Newcastle game apart, we've dominated every game this season and should've won most. What wasn't true though was when he said you didn't deserve to be one down or that you limited us to an odd chance in the second half, that was just blinkered sh[ii[/ite. Howard hardly had a save to make and any he did were routine anyway. More worrying for you is that he keeps talking about the transfer window and bringing in new players now the new owners are in place, who he'll bring in must be worrying.

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

As I said, I agree that it was a stupid comment. However to suggest, as was the case, that he was happy with what he is seeing is stretching it.

That's what he's saying though.
He doesn't have to lambast the players, but he doesn't have to pretend that all is well and starting to come together, because it's plain to see that it isn't.

| Well of all the things I thought Fergie would say, that was not one of them.
I just hope he doesn't go to City.

| Fergie was told on the 14th August? Anything to do with the hooker he nailed? May want to live abroad due to escape the media over here? This signals the start of us dropping down a tier in my eyes. No doubt he will be world class again once he leaves.

Man City
Arsenal

| Ferguson just won the PR battle there in that press conference, he's turned it all on Rooney by saying 'he wants to leave' rather than communications breaking down etc.
Rooney is now public enemy number 1!

Well something has happened for Rooney to have such a turnaround on wanting to stay for life and then wanting to leave. I don't think there has been a fallout so for me it's one of two things. Either he/his agent have had their heads turned by Man City offering anywhere between £250/500k a week or he wants to escape British press and join either Barcelona or Real Madrid.
Either way losing Ronaldo and then Rooney puts us in a lot of danger and with Scholes and Giggs due to retire soon this now becomes arguably the toughest job Fergie has ever had. He probably needs to sign 2/3 top top players.

| Surprised Fergie's been quite so public such a long time before the January transfer window opens. Unless Rooney completely backs down, which doesnt seem in his character, its going to be a difficult 11 weeks for the player and club.
