Pretty stupid to be honest, anybody could whack a load of money on someone, then go and rob something from his house and get the winnings. Thing is, there are people stupid enough to.

He isn't innocent. I just think there has been a hideous over-reaction with regard to the celebration. In my opinion the stamping deserves the three matches, if found guilty, the other would not.

There were two reported injuries from those incidents. One was a little scratch on RVP's face. The other was a steward losing conciousness and needing to go to hospital.

There were two massively different reaction times for those incidents. One was an instant reaction that can barely be seen in real time. The other took probably 15 seconds from start to finish.

He should be done for the celebration* and get off with the stamp. Cristiano Ronaldo got off with his blatant kicking of SWP (?) last season. Rooney gets away with more than that about 10 times a game.

*Depending on the rules about punishing players already punished by refs.

What was the response from the commentators when that incident happened?

Did they flag that as a serious incident at the time, or was it just when RVP cried about it after the game that it became a serious issue?
