I refuse to confirm or indeed deny, if it is Karlos.

| Quote: Lord God Jose Mourinho "Not been a good week for Italian club football, has it?'"
Am I right in saying that the last time an Italian scored past English opposition in knockout CL football was the final in 07?
There are some decent prospects in Italy, and I read t'other day they're changing the way their T.V packages are, and how they sell them, and so on. Which I think will strengthen the league. At the moment, though, the Italian sides are far too slow and lack any kind of intensity to beat the English.

Maybe but I think there is a real lack of quality in Italy at the moment. I find it amazing that the likes of Camorenesi and Muntari play for top Italian sides. They just doen't have the quality that the top English sides have.

Quite a few big teams went out of the UEFA cup last night. Valencia went out too. Zenit will now go on to win it IMO.

I'm a fan of Muntari, I think he adds real strength to the midfield, he had a poor game the other night, but I don't think he's that bad. Similarly with Sissoko, who's done exceptionally well at Juve. But I understand where you're coming from.
Camoranesi I've not really watched for a couple of years now, I used to rate him a lot in previous years, but I'm guessing like a lot of the stars in Italy, he's past his best and he's now on the slide.
There are some decent players in some of the smaller Italian sides, the likes of Fiorentina and Napoli have some very good players, a few of whom I'm surprised haven't made the bigger step up.

More entertaining? Nope.
Technically superior? Highly debatable.
VFM? You tell me. What's the going rate for tickets in Spain and Italy. If it is great VFM, where are the fans?
I know for a fact in Italy the top clubs only sell out for the big matches in the league and big matches in Europe. Some of the Italian attendances are embarrassing in Europe and in the league for so called big clubs. The fans, I can only presume are not finding VFM or they would be packed week in week out. There averages are no where near the capacity. Am I right in thinking Juve can't manage an average of more than 25,000. Yes I know there's problems with the fans and the stadium, but even taking that into consideration, that's pretty pi$$ poor effort.
I bet that was one of Real Madrids highest attendance for years the other night, only because Liverpool were in town and if you think the prices over here are steep, how come the Liverpool fans were paying either £58 or £88 to watch the game. None of the Spanish clubs seem to sell out week in week out either, so it's not as if they are banging down the doors for these VFM matches, is it.
Again, in Spain, the averages are nowhere near the capacity.'"
When they played at the Delle alpi the crowds dropped off massivly with only 250 fans turing up for one cup game around 4 years ago 250 in a 70k capacity stadium but still averaged 35k in the league which was still ok considering how poor the ground is. Since then they have moved back too there old ground which holds around 25000 and the Delle Alpi has been demolised and they are building a 40k seater football stadium minus running track.

Inspired substitution by me there for my fantasy league team. Cahill for Arteta.
