| Great way for Kong to debut, WWE should bring in Hamada now, would make the womens division much stronger.
|
|
|
| Looks like I'm taking a break from RLFans tommorow then.
Well played on the prediction Roverswall, think it was done for the wrong reasons (sentiment on the back of Edge's retirement) but Christian has worked extremely hard to get there, and was a superb match IMO.

Be brilliant to see them finally use Gail Kim properly in some matches too (with Kharma).

| Thought the Punk vs Orton was one of the best matches WWE has put on in a long while. It's great to see what you can do when you have a decent build and give the guys in the ring enough time to tell the story.
Liking R-Truth's heel promos. They just feel more real, you know? His frustration at being stuck in the lower mid card coming thru in them

| I thought Extreme Rules was awesome. Absolutely fantastic. It didn't seem to last 5 minutes which I guess is a sign of how much we were all enjoying it this morning. The kids LOVED it, the results played a massive part in it I guess, but it was just a lot more entertaining than Wrestlemania I feel.
I'm not as into WWE as a lot of the regular posters on this forum as I only picked it up when the kids got into it again, but the Orton v Punk match was fantastic I thought. I also really enjoyed the tag team with the continuing break up of the Corre continuing nicely. It'll be interesting to see which of them becomes a 'face' when they fall apart.
I loved the Cena match as well as did the kids and the roof nearly lifted off our house when he won. I don't like the abuse he's been getting from a lot of the older spectators recently tbh, booing the good guys rather goes against the point of it all doesn't it?
I thought there were so many moments in Extreme Rules that were seriously impressive but off the top of my head:
1 - Kofi Kingston's leap to put Sheamus through the table
2 - Randy Orton's RKO from the top rope
3 - Del Rio hitting the ladder
4 - Cena and Morrison's double supplex from the top of the cage. They ALMOST dropped the Miz on his head. It would have been rather nasty if they had.
5 - Cena's attitude adjustment from the top rope
6 - Morrison's starship pain from the top of the cage
7 - Morrison falling onto his balls on the cage door. How did he do that?
If I had one criticism of the WWE now it would be that they have 'deglammed' the Divas section. They seem to be turning away from attractive and entertaining Divas towards muscly and 'scary' types. First the lovely Maria goes and now McCool?

It was very very good apart from the embarasment that is the M.Cole situation I mean there are actually workers missing out for this.

I too am very interested where they are going to go with this

TBH with the greatest of respect I would rather say that it is you and the WWE who are missing the point.
There is a long history of face's who have started taking heat and been given a heel turn as that is the normal path too take, It seems Vince is being to pig headed/greedy to do it though.
Quote: Saddened! "I thought there were so many moments in Extreme Rules that were seriously impressive but off the top of my headI love it when you get this kind of stuff it is so much better then the sterile wrestling they give out sometimes.

TBH I would rather have a female wrestler that can work then one who looks good (there are plenty of mags for that).
Also you can have both (Trish jumps straight to mind).

I tend to agree with Roofaldo on the fact that Chrsitian and Orton aside there isn't much more on the SD roster and I can see that being the BIG feud going forward.
That being the case one of them had to have the belt, Plus Christian is a damn fine worker and he always has been maybe this is just the push he needs.

| I suspect Sheamus and/or Cody Rhodes will get pushed towards the Main Event on Smackdown soon.

| Do none of you rate Sin Cara? We've booked Smackdown tickets for Liverpool (I wanted Raw) because the kids wanted to see him.
I just hope they don't go dropping any surprise roster changes anytime soon, unless they are Raw to Smackdown as there does seem to be a imbalance at the moment.

He's an amazing spot monkey. But as for an actual match? Hmmm
With him dropping the US belt, I'd imagine that Sheamus might get a nod back to main event level. Which would give them enough time to deal with turning either Christian or Orton heel.

He reminds me a lot of Jericho when he first appeared (Yes I know how long Christian has been around) in that as a face he has a glass ceiling but as a heel its possible sky's the limit.

| Roofs is quiet tonight
But in all seriousness could they have blown any more sunshine up The Rock's backside?
If this is what we are going to get until WM next year they can keep it for me.
He is either on the roster (even if it is part time) or he isn't and i'm a MASSIVE Rock fan.

| Daivari may be returning to WWE, he worked the dark match today against Ted Dibiase.
Chris Harris returned to TNA, and Chyna debuted there.

I think this week's Raw was just a fluffy one off episode. It seems Vince has seen just how much of a reaction from the fans that the Rock still gets and is trying to ensure he sticks around, even on a part time basis
