| For the love of God, people say RL refs are inconsistent with decisions.
Mark Halsey has brought inconsistency to a new level.
DREADFUL

Section of United fans ignored the tribute and sang over it. Both teams have some d[ii[/ickhead fans, who'd have thought it? But hey, let's just do the usual point scoring exercise...

| United fans singing always the victim while being kept behind according to Collymore on twitter.
Regarding the game, I don't care if we were , we won, good enough for me.

| Quote: Dessie2 "A bit harsh on Shelvey that as Evans was reckless as well, it's a leveller though as Man Utd still have Nani on the pitch. Truely awful.'"
I don't think it was harsh at all. Evans got there first, so by the time Shelvey jumps in, his feet are both in contact with the floor. Shelvey jumps into it, which always gets players sent off. He comes in high and makes contact with Evans.
Always a red card.

| United fans sang over YNWA, not the tribute. Evra got booed for being the victim of racism and there were aeroplane gestures from the Main Stand. But it's always them nasty United fans that misbehave isn't it?

That was part of the tribute. Reports of some singing the 'always the victim' song as well. They're both as bad as each other, but neither set of fans seem to be able to acknowledge that and just label the other as disgraceful. Part of the reason I really don't have much time for football these days is the fans. Reading comments of 'fans' on Facebook really annoys me.

According to Collymore, the Press Association said there were no aeroplanes at all

It's unfair to say 'set', it really is a small minority or a group of idiots.
Never watched today's game, only just got back from work and I doubt I'll be watching MOTD. Lad in work (City fan) said Evans and Shelvey both should have walked or been yellowed, but never just Shelvey. That's about all I've heard in terms of incidents. Heard we played very well but luck was again out. Is it luck or is it ability? Last year I defended our team regularly because we were playing well but were desperately unlucky. This year has been much of the same in ways; how often can you defend the same shortcomings with luck? At least a few young lads are getting games.
Hope we turn things around but we've had a hard start to the season, it doesn't get 'easier' with the league the way it is now, so we're going to have to improve or keep pinning it on luck.

| Suarez was brilliant, Sterling very lively. Man Utd just soaked up Liverpool's possession and took their chances. It was nice to see the handshake and the Man Utd players with 96 on back of the shirt's. There will always be a few numpties from both sets if fans. Liverpool desperately need a striker.

Both went kind of aerial, but evans got there first and got the ball, as soon as he did that Shelvey was in trouble
Suso looked good when he came on

Define brilliant? I thought he was the same old Suarez, some nice fancy touches and no end product.
5 games in and Liverpool are already 8 points behind Everton.
Are Liverpool too good to be relegated?
