| Anyone see the Super 15 today. By the looks of it no one in NZ could be bothered.

Haven't seen it for a few weeks now. Still reckon the Reds will win it.

| Sale seem to have re-emerged from the woodwork in marketing terms. Latest one is a pic of the summer signings with the quotation: "They've re-signed- have you?"- which I suspect is aimed at keeping the season ticket holders...
Of course, the only rugby talk in town here in Urmsterdam is "what's that stadium being built by the canal?"

| Hope you tell them exactly what's being built
Of course a lot depends on signings but I reckon both Newcastle and Worcester will finish below Sale. I can't see Exeter repeating the feats of last season so I'd say Sale to finish 9th.

You bet I do! A Wire I may be, but if more people from round our way go and watch Salford when the stadium is built, then fantastic. I hope it's a success.
I think you're right about Newcastle, I reckon Worcester will come above them in the end. One-man team.

| I reckOn if Newcastle go down that will be the end of them. There just isn't the interest or funds to keep them competitive in the second division.

| I wouldn't worry about Salford. We've just decided we're gonna take over the World. Our next stops at North West domination are Legoland Warrington and Legoland Wigan - aka The Halliwell Jones Stadium and DW Stadium
Very strange situation at the moment. Stockport fans seem to have it in their heads that the Lord Mayor of Stockport or somebody has said Sale will be out in January. We have denied the month but haven't denied we're moving.
As for the league - quite confident of a decent finish this year. By decent I mean like you say - 9th or above. If the Diamond revolution is to be then we could be pushing for the final Heineken Cup places.
A decent cup run would be nice though. We've been drawn against Brive, Agen and La Vila in the European Challenge Cup so a mixed bag. Looking to go over to the La Vila game as it should be cheap to get to. Catalancs - any knowledge on them? You seemed to know about El Salvador and the Spanish set up last season.
Though I haven't renewed my season ticket this year. And if we are to move mid-season then I think I will have made the right choice.

| They play in a town called La Vila Joiosa. It's between Alicante and Benidorm and having been to both I'd strongly recommend the former over the hole that is Benidorm.
They haven't been in the top division long but as with many Spanish union sides the chairman has ploughed plenty into the club. They also have plenty of foreign players, something which many see as a problem with the Spanish league.

| I noticed their ground only has a capacity of 650. Not to say that we're a massive club, but surely they'd be able to shift that many tickets for an English club coming to town. Could be difficult getting tickets.
I also noticed they've played at least one game at Levante's ground though, so perhaps they'd move it there
Cheers for the info. I don't really like the idea of going to Benidorm but it's between November and January and so I don't imagine too many groups of drunken English people will be about then.

| Do you think Sale would take that many over? If you're serious about going to the game you need to be looking for flights to Alicante airport. I've always used Easyjet in the past.
The problem with Benidorm isn't the drunks, it's the place itself. Alicante is a much safer bet with Altea and Xixona also worth a visit.

| Well not that many, couldn't give you a figure but it would be more than we'd take to the 2 French games I would imagine. The attendance was about 1000 for the El Salvador game and if they're this years champions and we're top seeds in our group - you'd imagine we'd be their biggest catch.
I think the Benidorm factor makes it a bit easier for my mates to come who wouldn't want to come to a game usually. I've told them it's not in Benidorm itself and just outside the touristy bit, but still on the coast. I hope that's right.
Yeah, I've looked at Alicante Airport. Return flights look like less than 60 quid in November

Obviously I don't have the knowledge that Catalancs does, but I went to Benidorm last year on a stag (I wouldn't go otherwise) and can confirm that it's an utter, utter hole. It looks like Crescent-era Hulme built in the sun with the spirit of Blackpool in a bad wakes week. Avoid.
The local beer is very cheap though!
