Comparing the Ultimate Warrior to Sheamus is downright insulting.
In fact, I don't think I've opted to play as a single current wrestler in favour of a past legend. Kind of tells me something right there. Ricky Steamboat vs Kofi Kingston?! Come on!

Actually yeah you've got a good point there mate. I blame their constant messing with their developmental system. They f*****d over OVW something rotten (according to Jim Cornette who admittedly is biast), and OVW was the last company really to provide them with future stars (Cena, Orton and Batista). Their attitude to creating new stars is generally woeful, e.g. it's still mostly all about size and a cookie-cutter look (which is why Daniel Bryan will never make it to main event there despite been over big-style), and usually originality in terms of wrestling style is stripped from a 'Superstar' as soon as he gets there.
Said it before, and will say it again - WWE needs to do what several guys in the 80's and 90's were allowed to do - let the wrestlers produce their own promos and have a lot of input in their own angles. F**k the stupid Hollywood writers - wrestling doesn't need them. Have guys like Cornette (people who know wrestling) have a big say. Have a roster loaded with people of all shapes and sizes, rebuild the shattered images of most of the titles, create an exciting women's division etc etc. Forget the sh***y straight-to-DVD movies that no-one cares about, stop trying to be taken seriously in the mainstream entertainment world and just get back to doing what you used to do so amazingly - producing great WRESTLING that had us fans on the edges of our seats and wishes away the days to the next episodes of Raw and SmackDown cos you was desperate to see what happened next.
Grrr.

Being honest i'm made up for the guy.
After all the years of TLC matches, The fun times as part of E&C (Who can ever forget those foam cowboy hats) , The posing, The feuds with the Hardy brothers, The feuds with Dudley boys , etc, etc he deserves this push no matter how long it is.
Now with all that said its a shame that it is coming on the back of Egde having to quit.

| I am very interested who is going to attend The Rock's 'birthday' on RAW.
I would love to see Mankind again but I doubt it.

Hadn't seen that Cena had been drafted back so just thought they would swap the belts.

Well nothing, however, he IS the face of the company so they're not going to move him from the A show or change him from a face to a heel, no matter how much sense either move would make.

Guess you're right. Just feel it's a shame because either move could have huge benefits in the long run. I know it's going back years, but WCW took a chance on turning Hogan heel and it paid off big-style.
Re SmackDown, moves like this only confirm what everyone knew anyway - it IS the 'B show' and always will be then.
Just thought, next year will (IIRC) be ten years since the brand split / extension.

Yeah, but the thing with the Hogan turn, is you have to handle it right. Not many people remember that before the nwo, WCW had tried turning Hogan heel about 6 months earlier (i think) but it hadn't really worked. So, this is sort of why I'm disappointed that WWE have cocked the whole Nexus thing up. They could have built those guys as a real force to a point where it comes down to a PPV event Team WWE vs Nexus with Cena pulling a heel turn at the finish. It'd be shocking, unexpected and would make people tune into the following night's Raw.

| As soon as they showed the promo for the Rock's birthday party on RAW I had an inkling that Cena would get a quick fire return.
Now they set them in the WM main event, it makes sense that they have a stare down every know and then to build up heat for it.
As an aside I would love Foley to come out and reprise Mankind for a Rock and Sock Connection moment. That This Is Your Life promo they cut together was golden.

| Orton to SD! is a good move, but who can he feud with? I'd like to see Cody Rhodes get elevated up the card. He stole the show for me at Mania, and his current gimmick is pretty good. Obviously with the past links with Orton, a bit of history there. Other option is to pit him against The Corre.

Yes he is but there has been talk of him not renewing when his contract is up. Think it is up around August/September time.

Oh right, cheers mate. Presumably The Rock's birthday will be before this then won't it?

| Full list of draft picks
To Raw
Beth Phoenix
Tyler Reks
Kofi Kingston
Chris Masters
Curt Hawkins
Drew McIntyre
JTG
Kelly Kelly
Jack Swagger
John Cena
Alberto Del Rio
Big Show
Rey Mysterio
To Smackdown
John Cena
Randy Orton
Mark Henry
Sin Cara
Daniel Bryan
Great Khali
Jimmy Uso
Alicia Fox
William Regal
Yoshi Tatsu
Natalya
Jey Uso
Ted DiBiase
Tyson Kidd
Tamina
Alex Riley
Sheamus
So, in fact the only thing this draft has done, rather than shake up the main event status quo, has simply swapped the mid/lower cards of both shows over. The only guy in that list (not including Cena due to the stupidity of drafting him twice in one show) who'll be in the main event on their new show would be Orton and I fully expect to see a heel turn from him in the near future.

I don't know, it could just be that they're using Orton as the new face of SD! to replace Edge. I really like Christian but think he's pretty stale at the moment. And I really don't like his hurried push on the back of Edge's retirement. I really think he needs a rebranding, new music, maybe a heel turn. As I mentioned the likes of Barrett and Rhodes are there already and either could build lengthy storylines with him and letting him stay face.
