Surprising that too because as a red they cling on to the past so much you'd think he'd see and remember those posts icon_wink.gif

Guilty. Still, think it would be a good signing for us though. A step in the right direction.

Quote: Saddened! "So where has peanuts gone then?

It's on Sky Sports News now that Steven Pienaar has turned down a move to Chelsea and has signed a pre-contract agreement for a 'major European club'. That surely rules Spurs out of the running.

Inter? Bayern? I can't think of many places where he won't be mercilessly abused racially. He's a fool to leave Everton.'"

looks like you're wrong on this one unfortunately Saddened - can't see 'Arrys logic here - where's he going to play him ?

I think so. I hope you don't get Downing but if there's going to be £20 plus million down for Bent something needs to give. Ashley Young?

He wasn't wrong though, when he posted that it was before these offers from Chelsea and Spurs, he hasn't signed a pre contract agreement for a major European club, he's being sold.

I don't understand Stevie P. First he wants to move for money, now with Arry saying, "I'd think if Chelsea are coming in, the wages they would pay would be far in excess of what we would pay." it looks like it's not the money he's after.

He won't get a game down there. Who are they going to drop for him? Bale, Modric, VDV? No chance.

I had a text of a scouse friend the other day telling me that we had enquired about Jon Carew, this was on Friday. God, please no.

He wouldn't get in the team at Chelsea neither, who would they drop for him: Malouda, Essien, Lampard?

Deluded footballer syndrome, driven by a greedy agent.....He is going to keep the bench warm at Spurs (or any Champions Leaue side)....He's a direct replacement in the Spurs squad for Bentley, and we all know how regularly he got a game.... icon_lol.gif

If I was David Moyes, I'd have shown him a picture of Tommy Gravesen and then asked Pienaar if he wanted to waste the best years of his career like the great Dane did.....I suppose that at least Tommy got to the mecca of club football, but even though he did that, it all went sour quickly.

Also with Redknapp, is he not the classic example of a manager who can't resist a deal, even if he doesn't need to do one??.....No wonder his managerial career is tainted with accusations of dodgy dealing, even from the early West Ham days.

Whatever his supporters say, he'd be a useless England manager, simply because he wouldn't be able to sign anybody!!

Unfortunately, it's a sign of the times for us I think. We have absolutely no money, without which you can't compete at all, so players think they can better themselves elsewhere, it's a challenge for him and I disagree I think he can have a really good impact wherever he goes. 18 months ago people would've said the same about Bale now look at him. We've had to send Yakubu out on loan just to free up some wages to bring players in, we're skint and we desperately need players.

Quote: Robbie Rotten "Babel was guilty of foolishness. He made a daft mistake by retweeting somebody else's work, but I find it odd that he gets reprimanded and fined, but Rooney can verbally abuse a referee without an eyelid being batted.'"

Did you voice similar concerns when Ferguson was reprimanded and suspended for his comments post game and teams like Chelsea and Liverpool were allowed to verbally assault the referee after every decision went against them?

Not really, I only pick on United as I hate them the most.

Still, I like to highlight the inconsistencies within the FA, especially when it concerns United. What ban did Mascherano get after refusing to leave the pitch? Two games? I hope RDS21 gets the same treatment.

This goes for all teams, although Rooney definitely did it yesterday..:

When did it become acceptable to tell the referee to f)u)c)k off? How is that not a straight red? I see some players in the lower leagues getting sent off for foul and abusive language on soccer staurday sometimes, I suppose they are calling the refs a see you next tuesday?
