No, it's Rafa Benitez's fault.

I think you will find that it is either Hodgsons fault/the owners fault/the will of god. Delete as applicable.

| Quote: Robbie Rotten "Rumours we've made a formal enquiry for Luis Suarez, with further rumours adding we want to include Babel in any potential deal, to bring down the fee, like.
Can't say he'd be my number one pick, a good player no doubt, but I've voiced my reasons for not rating him so highly in the past, and they wouldn't change unless we became a 4-4-2 team, something I don't want to happen.'"
I think Suarez and Torres up front would be a very good partnership, would mean changing the system but maybe that is what it needs.
Utd were solid yesterday but showed little going forward, thankfully Scholes is back fit! Rafael's second yellow card was a joke.

how come Benitez comes out of this debacle looking unblemished - it's his cr*p signings that put LFC in this mess surely ? not to mention some very dodgy 'tactical' decisons in cetain matches and how on earth was he allowed to let Xabi Alonso go ???

| Why isn't Rooney being charged by the FA for his reaction to Rafael's red card? His reaction was absolutely disgraceful, yet the FA will charge Babel for posting a jovial picture on Twitter, but Rooney can abuse whoever and behave however because the FA are spineless scum.

He was booked, so they probably can't do anything else.
I never saw it but on the radio they said Liverpool players went ballistic at the ref over the second goal?

They were annoyed as they felt Kelly was fouled, he at least looked like he fell very awkwardly, which usually leads to a stop in play when there is potential serious injury.
Still, it shows how daft things are. A player can disgrace the sport in one furious row because a referee made a correct decision, the other posts a jovial picture about a ref that made woeful decisions, in fact, Babel didn't even post the picture, yet one will be charged and the other won't be repeated. I know what's worse, we all know what's worse, we all know what needs to be clamped down on more often, but the FA will forever be inconsistent and will forever turn blind to the most obvious problems.

So were the Liverpool players reactions not a disgrace?
Also the ref never made the correct decision, the second yellow to Rafael was laughable, never worthy of a card.

You are missing the point completely. The point I'm making is; the FA will charge somebody for a jovial picture, but won't charge somebody for disgracing the game and ferociously abusing a referee on the pitch. I seen Rooney square right up to the ref and shout repeatedly at him, one can only assume swear words, yet nothing is done of it, it isn't even repeated. Does common sense not tell you what is the bigger crime here?

| I can see what you're getting at RR but posting a referee in an opposing teams shirt is essential calling the ref a cheat. Is it not? You would get sent off for that in today's game. I have no idea what Rooney was saying...probably something on the lines of 'that was shat'.

| Bizarre if Bent signs for Villa. I assume he's fallen out with Bruce. I wonder if Ashley Young's future is in doubt?

| Was a good game yesterday, quite entertaining and a fair result to boot. Can say I've seen more blatent pens not given though...then again a few Reds in the pub were getting a bit angry so it was probably for the best that it was a draw, it was about to kick off.
Just a Q though, when did Agger become such a good/ important player for LFC? That was why LFC never won the game because he went off and he's also now the 'spine' of the team which could get in the big clubs in the PL?
