I don't really understand your point. The German league is far superior to the Dutch league.
As a side note I was reading something the other day that tried to show Gomes was a deceptively good goalkeeper. Just one prone to calamitous errors. I have to say some of his shot stopping can be superb and it's more composure that lets him down. I'll have to try and find what I was reading to see how they attempted to show this, I was slightly suspicious at the time but appearances are not everything.

true the dutch league is inferior but the point is that just because someone played for a top German club doesn't make him a worldbeater in fact, I can't think of that many germans (ok, I know he's a Turkish international) that have really made an impact in the Prem - Klinsmann & Ballach maybe but otherwise not too many others of that quality ?
in fact I can think of many more dutch players who have made the Prem grade compared to germans... |

I agree to an extent, a good solid 7/10 player. I wouldn't have him down as doing really well in the premier league, at the same time I'd hardly say Jurgen and Ballack were amazing. Lehmann was alright at the Gooners. |

Really not sure how you can come to that conclusion. Are any technically good players Stoke City level? Let's be honest, their level of player is 6ft2+, club footed and generally talentless. Anyone that can play football is surely above Stoke? Unless you're Charlie Adam, of course.
IMO, he'll probably end up being too good for the Liverpool of the past couple of seasons, he should be at a top 4 club. However, if we end up signing him, he could be one of the key players to getting us back into the CL - he's that good. |

hope you're right RB, your lot deserve a good side - i'm not anti LFC just someone giving an opinion - problem is, i'm just as pessimistic for my team with that maniac AVB in charge (for the moment...)
difficult to watch LFC labouring with 2nd rate players IMO when I as weaned on the likes of Lawrence, Smith, Yeats, O'Callaghan, Thomson, St John & Lawler et al
