| Quote: cas all the way "As the Chargers are on decline mode this season ive found myself falling in love with the Seahawks. Pete has done a cracking job there recently and they are a great team to watch. Russel Wilson is the rookie on fire at the moment and cant go wrong. With him and Lynch now seeing eye to eye I really do think they will be a class act in a season or 2. Feel like they could do with strengthening there Receivers but apart from that they look strong.'"
I like your thinking
Whatever happens in the rest of the regular season (and playoffs ) the Seahawks are building a great side for the future.

Both pass for alot more yards and don't have the advantage of a great recieving core that Rodgers has. Both don't take as many sacks as they are much better at getting rid of the ball. Rodgers holds it too long which leads to alot of his sacks. Better at getting the ball downfield despite having less weapons.
Why do think they're both in the MVP conversation and Rodgers isn't?

It's hard to argue with you when you just make stuff up/over-exaggerate things Mark.

| Lets agree to disagree pal. We've been here a million times. Whichever way you look at it there isn't much between them. I do expect the Packets to represent the NFC in New Orleans.

Giants @ Packers Championship game in the NFC.
Patriots @ Denver AFC Championship game.
Packers v Denver SB.

Not a bad shout. I still don't take the Falcons seriously. I expect Kaepernick to fail in playoffs. The Packers will get the difference makers back. I like the Broncos in the AFC as well, mainly due to the Patriots not being able to have home field.

| I would like to withdraw my view that Cassel is the worst QB in the league. He hasn't improved, but has managed to sneak to 30th by virtue of the ineptness of Blaine Gabbert (31st) and Mark Sanchez (32nd).
I'd avoid Matt Barkley just because of how terrible USC QB's are. Sanchez, Leinart, Cassel. The best is probably Carson Palmer, and he was average at his peak.

Agree with all of that.
The Falcons are frauds. Going to the GD should hold no fear for anybody. I'd take you, us and the 49ers to win there 9 times out of 10. I don't see the D being good enough to stop a team in a shootout and the offence struggle in the playoffs.
49ers are a strange one. Really it is hard to fault them, but I just don't think they are going to do anything.
We just need Clay back fully. The rest would be nice but not that key. Rodgers does what he does whoever is at receiver and on the line. We need a pass rush if we are to go deep.
I'd take Denver to win in Foxboro too.
The spanners in the works are the Giants and Steelers.

| Nice discussion on Double Coverage about making a rugby team of NFL players, of course they went with union positions though.
Got me thinking, who would make a great RL team?

Since Harbaugh came we've been sort of ignored. Last year it was the schedule which meant we had that great record, this year it's running with a second year QB who gives us something that Alex Smith doesn't (thereby partly addressing that criticism of Smith). I think we saw on Sunday night just how good this team can be. Okay, the Patriots came back and nearly won but that was at their own place with their conditions and them being the form team in the competition. With a bit more experience that game would've been closed off at half-time (we should have been 17pts up by end of first quarter alone). The only team to fear in the NFC, for us, are the Giants because of their Leeds Rhinos type postseason form. Outside of that, we've beaten everybody and with room to spare. That doesn't mean the others should be written off, including teams like Seattle.
Think the NFC is an up for grabs situation whereas the AFC comes down to Manning and Brady for me.

Still can't beat the Rams
If only we played with that intensity against every team!

Carson Palmer was a lot better than average in 2005 when he led the league in td passes and completion percentage but he never reached his peak as just as he was starting to be a great QB he tore his mcl and acl in a playoff game against the Steelers and has never been the same since, but I agree the rest of USC's QB's have been useless.
