Good on him, all the greats fight each other more than once. I imagine that could possibly be his last fight and he would walk away with a huge pay cheque something which we as fans cannot begrudge him.
Mayweather is the only fighter to have beaten Hatton and he deserves a shot at revenge, he now knows what he's all about and I am sure his preperations will be different this time around. Even at the time I thought Hatton had the measure of Mayweather for the opening rounds, but some awful refereeing stopped him causing any major damage.
Look forward to seeing this develop more.

| I see the Calzaghe camp are already making preparatory noises about the refereeing against Hopkins, trying to pressure Joe Cortez into stopping B-Hop from "spoiling".

WHY?
This is a major bugbear of mine. A re-match should only be granted if a fight went to a close decision (Pac vs Marquez II) or there was a major element of controversy (Pac vs Marquez I).
Neither DLH nor Hatton (especially) deserve another shot at Floyd. Hatton was given the mother of all hidings and KTFO.
And Floyd wouldn't take a re-match with Hatton out of some sense of noble obligation. No. Floyd takes Hatton (and DLH) on again because he knows they are the two biggest draws in boxing. Hatton has a big profile in the US after HBO's 24/7 series and it goes without saying that he's huge in the UK (one of the most lucrative PPV markets in the world). There isn't a fighter on the planet who can fill Wembley stadium within 48 hours and yes I include Pac.
It's all about the MONEY. Mayweather openly worships it and I guess you can't blame him for that.

| Absolutely. I think the fight we'd all love to see would be Floyd Mayweather vs Miguel Cotto (no, not Hatton v Witter ). That'd be an awesome fight.

| Cotto wouldn't stand a chance. The only reason Mayweather isn't fighting him is because there's no money it. If people thought Cotto had a serious chance he would be ahead of Hatton and DLH in the market.

I see for the Wrestlemania shindig this weekend, ‘Pretty Boy’ is being dropped. He's now Floyd ‘Mo’ Money’ Mayweather.

I'm a big fan of Cotto and IMO his style would cause Mayweather a few problems, but then again I thought that about the Hatton fight.

| The difference being that Cotto is a very natural welterweight, whereas Hatton isn't. I think Cotto would give Mayweather problems being a naturally big, strong welter.
Would love to see Hatton/Mayweather 2, but only at light-welter which is the only way Hatton would have a chance IMO. I know Floyd is all about money, and the fight would certainly generate enough to gain his interest, whether he'd drop down though is another question?

| Cotto's a useful banger (who gets away with far too many low blows), but I'm not convinced by him yet. I certainly don't think power and aggression is enough to trouble Floyd, whose chin is rock solid.
It's easy to imagine what Floyd will do when Cotto goes at him in the early rounds (bob, move, clinch and tie him up). He'll also drum a tattoo on Cotto's face every time he comes in. Cotto isn't used to that.
At the mid-point Floyd will have found his range and then it'll be all over.
