Sweden at 50/1 to finish last in the Eurovision Song Contest is surely too big.
They are about 11th favourites on the win market now and will go further down the pecking order once others qualify tomorrow.
Germany are only 6/1 to come bottom but with Dita Von Teese part of their stage show beauty will hopefully beat the Swedish beast. The byes of Spain and France may run them close, Russia will probably avoid the wooden spoon because they are at home but compare quotes of under 10/1 on those and 50/1 on Sweden and I know which one looks value to me.

York 13:40 - Northern Fling
Competitive little sprint handicap to open the card at York today. Northern Fling has good form on the ground, at the course, over the distance and is on a lower handicap mark than on his last winning run. He showed promise from a diabolical draw last time out at Beverley and at 20/1 he's good each way value in this.
Advice: 1pt each way Northern Fling @ 20/1 (Hills, Ladbrokes, Bluesq)

Always difficult predicting which countries will pick up the lower points consistantly but yes Germany should beat France with ease
France song is good for it's kind but being in French and her not having the appeal of some of the other female solo artists will not help their cause. |

Got £5 e/w on Northern Fling and £5 e/w on Group Therapy (33/1). tbh I don't think I have a prayer but I've had a pretty good couple of weeks so I can get away with a few small losses. And if either of them does come in then happy days. |

Will be watching Eurovision then Leigh v Widnes when its repeated tomorrow morning.
Might catch the Leeds game on a late night re-run but not a game I will be betting on and not that bothered which team goes through.
BTW Denmark are 100-1 with Bet Fred and 25-1 Top Scandanavia with Bet 365 (Norway 1/16 Top Scandanavian in a place perhaps puts their chance into perspective). |
