| Dos Caras Jr. IIRC.
And nothing can beat Cole's famous "I have a General Manager from the Email"

| Quote: JTR "Thoughts on Alberto Del Rio's debut? I was pretty impressed, I liked his submission, looks like they're going to go all out with pushing him.'" I was really impressed, he comes across smug and seemed to get the crowd against him very quickly.
The match was pretty basic in all honesty but his flying armbar looked very convincing and his own ring announcer is a great idea.

That move is second only to Doug Willam's head bobble.

If he's worked in other promotions & countries they'll have to "teach him how to work" first thoguh won't they?!

| Not a fan of these jet propelled pushes that seem to be the range in the WWE these days.
What's happened to slowly building a talent with feuds in the low to mid card to establish credibility? Booking this Del Rio to beat Mysterio in his debut will be seen as ludicrous booking by many.

Couldn't agree more, also same when they give a guy a belt on his debut - where does he go from there? It took Bret Hart a good 18 months before as a singles wrestler before he became WWF Champion, these days the likes of Sheamus wins it 3 or 4 months in.

| You can't have it both ways ... Do they let him have the ball & see what he does with it, or do they teach him how to work ?

| Didn't Sheamus only win the title first time around because Cena fell off the top rope and the table broke or something? I remember someone posting that on here anyway.
Either way, Sheamus' run has not bothered me, when he first got the title the only three senior guys on Raw were Triple H, Cena and Orton, it would have been a bit of an over-kill if they went with two of them yet again.

Well IMO the slow-burner approach is nearly always better. You know, the chase better then the catch. I remember when The Rock was trying to win the title from HHH around 2000 and kept getting screwed time after time (e.g. interference from the McMahons, sly sledgehammer shot by HHH when the ref was knocked out, etc). By the time he won it the crowd was desperate to see him become champ. The reaction after his victory (Backlash 2000 IIRC) was absolutely incredible and the type of noise/excitement that you won't see in the WWE for a long time unfortunately.
