6 of our last 9 matches are at home, but it will still go down to the last game of the season.
Interesting to observe the effect of Fulham's policy of not completely segregating away fans. Some of City's away fans can be a real pain in the , but it did seem that they were a bit better behaved yesterday. Perhaps treating fans as civilised adults works, although it might be a bit risky for a derby match.

| No complaints about losing, just utterly frustrated that we didn't gain any confidence from creating a great goal after 5 minutes. Other than Torres' miskick in the 90th minute we wouldn't have scored for another week. Gerrard was awful and people can say what they want about Torres but at least he cares. Only got Vidic half way to his usual red card as well this time. Benitez decision to play Lucas and MAxi defied belief really. Why go there and attempt to draw or lose by one goal? I'drather start Aquilani and Babel and get beat 4/5-1 but at least have a go. Lucas caused Carrick plenty of problems in the first 20 when we had United on the rack but went back into his shell as the going got tougher.
How bad is Michael Carrick though? How on earth does he get a gig at United? Very impressed by Fletcher again although he really does think he is braveheart doesn't he?

It's teh same at Fulham every year. I spotted a few fans on teh concourse with Fulham shirts on at half-time. Was a very good day out once more, although disappointed the Police have basically oput up a stop to fans having a drink outside the 8 Bells pub (near Putney Bridge Tube Station). It's a rubbish pub with terrible beer but it's usually a good laugh.
I thought we dominated the match. It was arguably our most commanding away performance of teh season. Mancio got the formation and tactics spot on. As much as I like De Jong's spirit and effort, having him and Barry in midfield makes us one-dimensional and one-paced. Vieira, although way, way past his best, brings a maturity, calmness and structure to our play. He is also much more dynamic with the ball than De Jong (that's not saying much though). However, when we play a top team, we need De Jong in the starting line-up. He dominated the Chelsea midfield on two occasions this season as well as having big games against the other top clubs.
I was nervous about the game after hearing Lescott pulled up with an injury (he's been excellent since his return from injury) and was to replaced by one of the worst centre-halves in the Prem - Toure. He played okay though, although that was helped by the fact that Kompany did the hard work - looking after Zamora.

| Chris Smalling played against us yesterday. I can honestly say, that he was very poor. No touch, lack of balance, poor distrubution and appears to panic.
I feel that your club have wasted £10m. Evans and Brown are better.

I saw the highlights, and realised that Smalling is the new Rio. IE: running straight past a player that is attacking the goal.
The problem with Brown is, he's far too injury prone.
Hopefully, when playing alongside a better CB partner Smalling's confidence will increase and improve him as a player. It's the same with Evans - when alongside Rio/Vidic he plays well, but is shaky as fook when next to Brown.

Did you get completely bent over price wise?

So in the past two weeks, Zamora has played against Vidic and now Kompany and both games he's been eliminated. And people think he should go to South Africa?

Are you referring to the 8 Bells or Craven Cottage?
I think it was something like £3.75 for a watered-down pint in the 8 Bells last year. We quickly learned our lesson. Had one pint, and then nipped around the corner to the off-licence and oured our cans into the plastic glassses we had used. A round went from around £16 to £4. To be honest, I prefer the Kings Arms - about 100 metres past the 8 Bells. There are also couple of decent boozers across Putney Bridge. after the game we went to a place that was showing the Chelsea game and the NRL clash between the silvertails and Eels.
If the weather is nice, I prefer getting a few cans and having a few beers in the park.
In terms of Craven Cottage we paid £51 (this includes a £2 booking fee). The beer was the usual price - £3.50. However, it was my least favourite beer - Carling.

To be fair, they are both very good centre-halves.
I don't rate Zamora very highly but to be fair to him, he has out-performed Carlton Cole and Emile Heskey this season. If England selection was based on form, then IMO either Zamora or Bent would be fourth choice behind Rooney, Crouch and Defoe.
