| Wether it be hull or Stoke, i cant wait to hear his reasons for signing for them.
Will he admit its because no one else wants him?

| Quote: Cibaman "City's best young players will probably find it easier to make the grade now that they are not expected to be the saviours of the club.'"
City's best young players will find it infinitely more difficult to make the grade because the grade is far higher. There will also be a great deal more competition for them to simply enter the first team.
Quote: Cibaman "I remember when Sturridge made his debut, coming on as a substitute. It was like the greeting of the Messiah, a ridiculous reception for a player so young and unproven.'"
So you know that the reception given to Sturridge was down to expectation from the supporters, and not just a very good display of support for a young kid making his debut? I'd have thought that most players would respond well to support, but maybe supporters should just ignore debutants instead.

Yes you are right. Why on earth buy any more strikers when you can stick with class stars of the pedigree of Evans, Benjani and Caicedo? It's quite obvious that we were strong enough in that department!
Whoever we played as a lead striker, last year, he was generally hopeless.
The rest of your points may be valid but the transfer window hasn't even opened yet.
As it happens, we are linked with Joleon Lescott and Nedum Onuoha is far better than people give him credit for. I really do think he is good enough for where we want to be. I also believe Kompany is a genuinely quality centre half and far better there than in midfield.
Point taken about Dunne and we certainly do need a strong, go forward midfielder but, as I say, there is plenty of time and plenty of money to still do that.

I would say it was mainly about expectation. Young players are always given good receptions but the roar when he came on was above and beyond the normal, out of hope and no shortage of desperation.

I wouldn't be surprised if his ego drove him abroad rather than sign for either. I suspect that's why he mentioned it the other day, so that if no top half teams show any interest he can try and minimise the snub by claiming he felt like a new challenge overseas. Cue either a big money move to a team in a mickey mouse league such as Japan, Australia, or the Middle East, or perhaps try his hand in Turkey/Portugal/Holland.

I'm glad our club maintained their stance on the Daniel Sturridge situation. It just goes to show that, despite what people think, we aren't just going to fritter money away, willy-nilly, on players that aren't worth it.
'"
Simple question: Bellamy or Sturridge?

Why would he say 'I only signed for Stoke/Hull because no-one else wanted to sign me'?
Owen would be a very good signing for either of them, and would be still be a good signing for anyone apart from the top 4, on a pay per play contract. If you can keep him fit, he will be a bargain for who ever signs him, IMO.

The roar when he warmed up was way OTT. Perhaps one of the reasons he thinks he's worth £55,000 pw.

| Bellamy for me too. Looked really good till he got injured will kick on the start of this season. As said Wiess is a class act i would like him to b given a few 1st team apperances this year bribg on hes development. TBH i think Richards and Ben Hiam were Dunnes problem last year. Neither were good at all so essientially he was covering both strikers would like ot see Lescott brought in and wouldnt mind Hanggeland think he has signed a new contract at fulham tho??. Onuoha is a classs player strong very very fast good in the air patient and still youngh im expectting big things this year now we have a target man and finisher in Santa Cruz would really like to bring Robben andf Eto in
