Just a tip I picked up from reading on the net.. Offer all the players you don't want to City for a slightly reduced fee. For instance, I offered them Aurelio for £4.3 million. They made a bid and then I knocked it up to £9million. They made a final offer and I accepted. Someone on a forum reckons they got £14.25m for Pennant and £12m for Aurelio!

Yeah, done that twice to Real Madrid..

First they offered about £22m (I think) for Rooney, I replied saying £40m and they accepted.

Second time they bid about £40m for Ronaldo, I negotiated for £69m and they agreed.

Look how sheet he was in my first season though. Good riddance.

Well bought game today works without the patch but not the patch. Because my Mac is on the Tiger OS as oppose to Leopard.

Says in Manual it will (10.4) but not on box as i noticed (after the demo worked no problem). So not happy, should hear more tomorrow about issue, but don't want to put it on pc. Never use it.

This sounds like a random question and tbh it probs is but has anyone here ever tried managing in the Danish/Norweigan leagues?, im tempted to have a go there with someone like Aalborg/Rosenborg/Valerenga etc.

I did, on I think the 2006 version. Had a very succesful time with Valerenga. It was funny, I used to come top of the league, Rosenberg bought my top players for top money (well, top money for that league) and I bought cheaper replacements from the rest of the Norwegian leagues and still kept winning the league.

3rd season, was progressing nicely with Man City, but got impatient as I want to win most things now not in 5/6 years time.

I've just won the premierleague season and the amount of players that now want to play for me is staggering. Bojan, Messi etc won't come though, so I think i will need to win the Championsleague for that to happen. Just bought Rooney and Ronaldo for 82 million each. If I don't win the european cup at least 2/3 times now, it'll be disaster. Augero and Rooney upfront. Ronaldo, dos santos, Wiltshire (going to have to be a sub now), jankovic? and Veloso (dm) in Midfield. Some of my expensive youngsters are progressing well and getting to wonderkid status now, and nearly all those are English.

Maybe I shouldn't have bought Rooney and Ronaldo, but I just was never going to win the european cup with 19year olds (hence why it would have took me around 6 years for me to win it I reckon).

Another thing that was interesting was that when I made the 2 big signings, I was 35 in the red and the chairman invested another 100 million into the club.

Started off ok but had Euopean Qualifiers etc etc so just rode along in the prem quite steadily.

Then it all kicked off when I beat Chelsea 3-0 at home to spark a brilliant rwinning streak which has seen me go from 12th to 4th!

Just need to win Euro cup or get CL
