Be interesting to see who Carolina would go for as they're pretty set at running back. Is that WR at Alabama coming out this year? think Jones is his name. Luck to Arizona maybe?

I'd agree with that. The AFC & NFC wildcard matchups show juts how much stronger the AFC is.

Haven't been on here all week Mark, i've had some assignments to get done for Uni.
My view on the Falcons game though is big credit to the Falcons. The defence they have is far better than i thought/have seen. We had zero running game which is appauling, and i said at the time we can't just rely on B-Jax. It was a close loss which we've had too many of but apart from that fumble Rodgers was perfect (and in reality he shouldn't be running it at the goal line). He did everything to get us ahead in the last minute YET it will go down as another 4th Q loss for him because of the stupid penalty on the KO.
Disappointing that we've lost 4 games all by 3 points (game winning FG's). Still confident if we can iron out a few problems we are good enough to go the distance.

Never realised that. The Grant injury is killing you. We still make far too many dumb mistakes. We move the ball up & down for fun but balls up when we get near the endzone.

Yep all of our loses have come by FG's. IIRC they have all been game ending FG's too either in regulation or OT.
Grant is a very good RB for us (around 1200 each year) and is just very consistent middle of the road RB which is all we need. We miss him massively though. I said at the time he got injured that we needed somebody to pick up the slack and so long as we can run even a little i think we can get by ok. Against the Falcons was terrible, from the first run B-Jax had he had a line up the middle and tried to bounce it to the outside and lost about 5 yards. We don't need big runs we just need consistent 3-7 yard runs.
Games like that we should just abandon the run (and we did in the end) and throw it and every now and then let A-Rod break out and run when he can.

Closed it now and can't remember how I had them finishing. Must have given them 6 wins from somewhere! I think I picked them to win against Arizona and Washington plus an upset in one of the Eagles games. Not 100% sure though!!

From the other side of the coin, I'll have to disagree on that one.
Some one-dimensional offences (and lets face it, that includes yours at the moment) have marched us and up down the field this season almost at will - Cincinatti springs to mind straight away - and we've been left clinging on to goal-line stands and needing the offence to score late on to wrap up games.
We don't get enough pressure (Abraham's fading, Biermann/Jerry are still learning) which puts too much onus on the secondary to cover for longer than they should have to. If we can get a bit more pressure particularly up the middle then we're decent enough against the run to be able to hold teams, but at the moment any pass heavy offence of note can take us to the cleaners.

I can see where your coming from. I've got to say i thought your D was average and succeptable to the deep ball alot prior to our game, whether it was a one off or not i thought your D was very good against us.

| The key was the Packers could not run on the Falcons, when your rushing 4 on dropping 7 into coverage, you should not get beat on the deep ball. Against a team with a genuine rushing attack and the threat of a play action pass the Falcons will struggle.
