Thing is, it isn't a joke, that's what's funny about it. Lucas Leiva was deemed worthy of replacing Xabi Alonso. Is there one of Mascherano laughing about 'him' being replaced by Poulsen?

I was referring to the fact that I got that email in the summer, take your point though.
Watching Barça v Valencia last night, a Catalan friend couldn't believe you'd sold Mascherano for an inferior player. It wasn't the fact that you'd brought in a worse player, it was more that Mascherano is seen very much as a bench player so he reasoned that Poulsen must be really gash (He also remebered him from his Sevilla days). Imagine having a midfield that included Gerrard, Alonso and Mascherano, sitting behind a forward line of Torres, Keane and Crouch.
Now time to sit back, relax and listen to the Liverpool fans on 606.
Great call to start off with, '[iHodgson is out of touch and tacticly naive. Get Kenny Dalglish in.[/i'

Have a look at the league table.
People wanted Rafa sacked because he couldn't win us the league now we have a bloke who will get us out of the league.

Leeds United fans would love a manager who could do that.

| Just got in from Bloomfield Road. At the start of the day, if you'd have told me Pool would lose 2-3 to City, I would have snapped your hand off and licked the blood clean.
As the game went on, Pool showed the kind of spirit that have endeared them to so many neutrals.Campbell was unlucky with his effort. When Taylor-Fletcher scored it went fricken barmy. I haven't seen it back, but am sure there was no offside.
I will state my non existent mortgage on Teves being offside for his first goal though.
The difference in the game, Pool bringing on Harewood, City bringing on Silva.
Still, immensely proud of Blackpool. I know my late grandad would have loved them.

The two are worlds apart. One was/is a world class manager who the fans knew was a world class coach, the other is a mediocre coach who is out of his depth at a club like us. He is the opposite of what we wanted to bring in to the club, a manager who is only in charge here because of his nationality and friendly relationship with the media. Rafa was here solely based on his ability to coach the team, as his relationship with the media and nationality all went against him in his time here.
Roy could have done with a hand from the owners, but he inherited a side good enough to beat Blackpool and a side good enough to at least compete in games.

Is that really true? Benitez spent millions on those players. I'll bet he spent more than Arsenal and even United in his time at Anfield. The squad he left was poor.
When a new man comes in, they will often appear to do worse simply because they are not his players and they do not fit his style. I honestly dont think Benitez would be doing much better than Hodgson and I think an awful lot of the negativity and bad feeling within the Liverpool club and it's fans came from Benitez and his constant moaning.
Hodgson isn't some inexperienced poster boy or yes man. He's a top class man manager who has coached some of the best players in the world during his career.

Tevez was offside for the first goal and Blackpool's goal was wrongly flagged.
Obviously I know City better than you but I never saw anything bar a struggle today. We just don't like it when teams get in amongst us.
Any talk of us challenging for the title is pie in the sky but talk of Blackpool staing up certainly isn't.
One thing this game proved is that our fringe players are not up to it. Our defence has been outstanding all season but throw Lescott in at centre half inside of Bridge at full back and it's a disaster waiting to happen/ Similalry, Adebayor is a joke now and we were ten times the team after Silva took his place.
Our first eleven is as good as anything out there, albeit in a boring kind of way, but beyond those eleven, then we struggle. With each passing week, it becomes more apparent that Mark Hughes was an utter clown when you handed him the chequebook.

The dissalowed goal was pretty much 50/50 there was an offside player but i'm not sure he was interfearing with play, after the Gallas off side yesterday it was a goal allday.
Tevez was offside no question
Tevez clipped the defenders ankle in the build up to his second that was a definate free kick.
I feel sorry for pool as they played Citeh off the park and but for a couple of dodgy referees decisions city should not have won

So far this season we've played well twice (Liverpool & chelsea), been ok once (wigan) and had 5 performances that were varying degrees of poor. Difficult to work out why we're 2nd
