Enke has always been one of my favourite footballers, honest, humourous and a great character on the field.
Will be sadly missed. |

Shocking news. I actually met him years ago when I was at trials in my youth. I was living at the time on an Army base in Germany and went to a trials day at a local lower division teams youth team. I met him and a few other players. Monchengladbach he was playing for at the time I believe. I've got a boot bag with his signature on it somewhere.

The word tragic gets bandied around so much, but I think it's fitting here. His missus has said he was off his anti-depressants because he feared that if he took them, they'd risk having their recently adopted daughter into care. It's like some sort of paranoid depressive Catch 22.
Also, I feel for the drivers of the train.
Just an all-round bad story that just leaves me open-mouthed in dismay and sorrow.
