| The main thing wrong at Chelsea is their best player is spending most of the games sitting on the bench.

| FAO any Liverpool fans, can any of you guys offer tips on secure parking near Anfield? I've read about a place called Paradise Island Club near Goodison. Anyone used these?
Would massively appreciate any help because I've heard the stories / advice about not parking close to the ground so just want somewhere safe really (have no problem paying £5-£10 either). Cheers.

Never heard of Paradise Island Club sorry.
Best place to park if you're happy to pay is either Stanley Park Car Park (on Priory Road), or the car park at Goodison, both a tenner each and staffed throughout the game.
There's an exclusion zone for parking around the Stadium of at least a mile, so don't even contemplate that.

| Well, our form was good while it lasted. I'd have hopes we would have won at least a few more games or gotten to half the season before the inevitable dip in form but looks like it has come after only 5 games.

That game yesterday was crying out for Coutinho. There was no movement at all ahead of the ball, Sturridge was constantly coming deep and wide to try and get involved.
That said, Southampton played pretty well. The pressing high up the pitch was excellent from them.

If 3 wins, a draw and 1 defeat was locked up in a safe somewhere, you'd have robbed it.
You've now got 4 fairly soft games before you go to the Emirates. If you take 10 points from those 4 games you'll probably be top of the table.
And has the fact he hasn't given any stupid interviews recently made you forget that Suarez returns next week?

It's the "fairly soft games" that we tend to struggle the most. If we are wanting to finish top 4 or finish top (as some people claim we can), Southampton is a game that we should be winning comfortably.
Saying that though, if we can't beat any (or all) of Sunderland, Crystal Palace, Newcastle or West Brom, then we shouldn't even be looking at trying to finish top 4.

Last season we finished 3rd. We first met Southampton in the FA Cup at their place. We won 5-1.
We then drew 2-2 with them at home and lost 3-1 away.
They beat you at their ground 3-1 last year. They also beat Man City by the same score. They drew with Arsenal at home.
Southampton are an irritating PL team. They get absolutely smacked sometimes, but they do have the capacity to trip up sides as well.
Whoever is claiming you can finish top needs to go see a doctor.
You should be thinking about United in the cup and forgetting yesterday. Wednesday's an intriguing contest for me. I think if Fergie was still in charge then Liverpool could have had the game because United wouldn't have cared enough to compete. But I personally don't think Moyes can afford to write off competitions when he's just taken over. And I think Brenton's in a similar position because of his poor cup showings last season.

Not as irritating as Stoke. God, I hate that team.

I've seen a few people around and about claiming it's our year and with the usual "get top of the table and take a photo of it and put it on a social networking site".

Even more intriguing after todays result.

| DiCanio sacked by Sunderland...... Now, the guy might have obvious faults, but where's the business sense in letting a guy fetch in a whole raft of new players, then give them under a month together, before firing the manager?
I can't imagine who on earth would be mad enough to take this job on - If Redknapp's job at QPR last season was a difficult one, then this one is bordering on the impossible.

| Vincent Kompany must be the best defender in the world. His ability to galvanise the players around him is incredible.
Still think United will be in the top 2. Kept going well at 4-0 down, will hoover up points against teams in the bottom half.
