Quote Roddy B="Roddy B"You're probably right, but when you're as good as them, and you've had as much success as them, why would you change that?
They are reliant upon Messi, despite having some of the best attacking players in the world at the club. Simply put, anybody who could come in and do a job when Messi's out wouldn't play for Barcelona as he'd be sat on his backside for most of the season. I'd keep riding the Messi wave if I was them, they compete in every competition every year, nobody comes close when it comes to consistency.'"
surely if they were that good they would be able to be shifted onto the side of the front three, to be kept happy and given games, then fill in for messi in the middle when injured. who this player is, i'm not quite sure

lucas moura has been very good since going to paris, barcelona couldve done a lot worse than go for him.
the only reason i think they need to address the issue is simply if messi was to suffer a season ending injury just after the january window shut, barcelona would be struggling for the rest of the year.
their defence is more of a pressing issue, they put up with psg last night more by good luck than organisation. if i was a barca fan, i would be turning away every time the opposition got a corner or free kick, as barca have very little height or size to deal with set pieces. alex etc were jumping all over them last night, and even the aforementioned moura out-leaped a barca defender to get a header on target, and he is hardly known as an aerial threat. good job valdes is good and very brave, as pique aside his defence put him under a lot of pressure. puyol is knocking on, so two proper, top drawer centre halves to compete with pique and each other are vital IMO.
