Decent win for Liverpool today I see. They played some quality stuff today by the sound of things. Swansea leaving Michu out was a strange one and he didnt look too impressed by it. They are appalling away from home and will go down within a year or two.

Just looking at the Swansea lineup now and they've rested their best players, to keep them fresh for the might of Bradford. In one way I don't blame them, they can secure European football through the League Cup by beating Bradford, so it doesn't matter then if they sacrifice the Liverpool game. Not great for Everton though that the reds get a bye.

In the interests of consistency, Swansea will of course be getting dragged up on a charge by the FA in the same way Wolves were for fielding a weakened team at Old Trafford. Won't they?

Not sure what Everton have to do with this??......Its looking increasingly likely that only the top 5 will qualify for Europe, so, with that in mind, I'd say both Everton and Liverpool have little chance of making it.

However, with how the FA Cup is unfolding, there is every chance that just reaching the final will see you making it into Europe - So if Everton can just get it right for 3 games then Europe is likely through that route....Oldham at home, Wigan at home, fingers crossed for Blackburn or Milwall in the semis and you don't have to worry about the League, Saddened....

That would be nice. But it wasn't particularly Europe I was concerned with, it's always nice to finish above our neighbours.

I don't really care unless we finish top and they are then below us - The whole 'finishing above Liverpool' thing just highlights how far we have fallen from the days when we did actually win the league (and I am old enough to remember!!).....It makes us appear very small time.

The days of us winning the league are long gone. A minor moral victory over the lads at work will do me fine.

FA Cup is anyone's.

Pleased for Blackburn as a sort of follower/supporter. I was unsure of the Appleton appointment but he seems to sneaking wins and conceding few goals. I put a bit of a wager on them for promotion before a ball was kicked in July. If they carry on I may have a chance, depending on how much they target the Cup. Going to be tough tie Millwall v Blackburn with both sides going for it.

SSN headline "United draw Chelsea" just me who thinks that's a little disrespectful? (note I was in a pub so didn't hear the audio)

Didn't hold much hope for Latics today but we were pretty comfortable throughout. Was hoping for Barnsley and then picking up Millwall or Blackburn at Wembley. I don't think we'll beat Everton but of course they aren't through yet.

I'm just happy to be a part of history in a few weeks as we equal our best ever cup run from 1986/87 and hopefully...hopefully...go one further at least.
