Quote: Roddy B "Not sure who blamed him for the result? Read the quotes and they seem to be quotes attributed more towards Cole in general, rather than blaming him for the defeat. Singling somebody out for criticism when it's warranted is perfectly OK IMO. Cole is a joke, his time here has been a joke and I couldn't care less where he goes. He seems an OK bloke who doesn't strike me as a bad influence, he simply isn't up to scratch and doesn't seem to try enough get back to where he once was.'"
Rodgers went on about how he only had Joe Allen in midfield because Joe Cole was so slow and had to bring on Gerrard and the Suaz to compensate.
If Cole is so bad, why did he play so well last season? If it's just an 'I don't want to be here' reaction from him, that should have been spotted in pre-season and dealt with, either by giving him away to another club or negotiating his release. If he hates Liverpool so much, he would have accepted a settlement no doubt.
Liverpool not having enough players to rest Gerrard, Allen and Suarez is their own fault and Rodgers needs to stop playing the violin card as it makes the club look even worse. Can you see now how horrendous a job Kenny Dalgleish did at Liverpool? He set you back at least 5 and probably as much as 10 years with the signings he made.
