| I meant £199 if I had bought it later on.
Yeah, it was £17 I think a few years ago. It was £10 for the last 3 or so years. I spent all but 3 games in my time there in that stand. It was cold but then I couldn't justify that much more to have a roof.
£550 is a lot but it's £47 in the centre seats. If you x that by 17 games then £550 is still a big discount.
Our first 2 games have seen the posh stand very empty.
It seems that in Union these days you get very good value by getting a season ticket and that's about it. I have mates who support Bury and Altrincham FC. It's getting on for £300 for Bury and to sit at Moss Lane it's £265 a year I think. For 6th tier Football. If you compare those to the match day prices you don't save a lot at all. I'm not sure what the benefits of season tickets really are these days. My Auntie has one at Old Trafford and I don't think she even saves anything compared to match day prices. It's just that it guarantees her a seat while others are on the waiting list.
The most expensive club are Exeter, believe it or not. I went the other week and it's a decent ground but given they're in their 3rd season in the Premiership - £24 is the cheapest terrace ticket, £27 is the cheapest terrace ticket with a side on view, £34 is the cheapest seat and it's £41 in the grandstand.
They claim it's so they can manage financially compared to the big clubs but a lot of their fans apparently feel alienated. Rightly so in my view. They have recently announced plans for an expansion which will probably see cheaper tickets.

In fairness to Alty, their standing tickets are much cheaper. And most people do go to Alty to stand. They were £99 the season before last.
Mine at Eastleigh is also £99- £4.30 a game if I go to every home game!

| 5,000 fans for the ''local'' derby between Wasps and London Irish today, the Aviva's weekly crowds are woeful so far. (though I remember it being pretty bad at this stage last year too)
Decent turn out for Saracens at Wembley though. But doesn't mean anything if they can't start drawing a regular crowd to their 'usual' home stadium week in, week out. The fact that their new stadium is going to have a capacity of just 10,000 sums it up really. Biggest bandwagon fan base going.
Sale lost again, is the early season optimism evaporating yet? Thought they would be doing much better than this tbh!
EDIT - how Saracens can get 40,000 people to pay to watch them is beyond me - turgid is not even the word! 9-9 final score

36,503....that's how many people watched the London Broncos over 13 SL "home" games this year......sarries getting 41k is indicative of how BADLY the London RL club is run.......

I do agree.. for a club with a small fan base Saracens have some great people marketing them.. Unlike Broncos. The potential is there.

The Potential has always been there...........it's just the long line of unqualified people that have been tasked with running a RL club since 2006 that's the problem.
Paul Brown: RL man but had to retire early due to illness.
Keith Hogg: Sponsorship guy from Scottish and Newcastle no experience of running a sports club
Paul Blanchard: Cricketing background....left cricket to join RL, left HKA after 6 months.....left us to return to cricket.
Gus MacKay: Cricketing background.......over 2 seasons has nearly destroyed the club IMO.....even our shirts are made by a cricket manufacturer....
We arrived at the stoop with a healthy 3,918 average that had just risen 13%.......the following year we got close to 5k.....THEREAFTER......it's dropped to 2,807...44%

Indeed, only one point (a bonus point as well) and already shipped 163 points in 5 games.

Good. get them relegated. Get them out of competiton with Salford for the new stadium. They are like cuckoos in a nest.
If they go RU will not be able to claim national prominence. They will have no top tier prescence north of Worcester.

| Keighley. Enough said.
Really don't need to say any more than that. Ignore the trolls. Geography obviously isn't his strong point. Leicester being further north than Worcester. Also competition is a strong word. At the moment we're hardly stealing fans from them and most of our lot either don't like League or follow Wigan or Warrington.
Still, you might be a bit thick but you've reeled me in. Can't beat a spot of Sunday Fishing. Beats sitting at home I suppose. Fair play to you.
We are indeed in deep trouble.
We're in a relegation battle, there are no 2 ways about it. It's about time somebody from the club came out and made a statement. They're all too good at marketing themselves in the summer, talking about a shiny new stadium and getting the corporates in.
There is no leadership on the field, they all look lost. Already 21 points behind first and a lot of pundits had us to finish between 4th and 6th. Leicester at home next so looking at 6 loses from 6. Then we have the Heineken Cup so it could be a long Winter.
Still, Leeds, Doncaster and Rotherham will mean I don't have to set off at 7am for an away game.
