Quote: Lord God Jose Mourinho "I think Fat Sam is a crook. But I don't think that's why he was fired from Blackburn. He was fired from Blackburn because he was ex-Bolton, the fans didn't like him anyway, he was seen as a long ball merchant, and then the fact he was bent just gave them the hint of legitimacy.
But Fat Sam is clearly a far better manager than Steve Kean will ever be. And Blackburn would probably still be a PL club if he was still there.
Steve Kean is An Idiot Abroad only really works at the very end when Kean is talking about Blackburn signing Ronaldinho and David Beckham.'"
The fans where always split on Sam which is probably the case at all the clubs he manages. Some accepted the 'percentage' football to become a solid side and win games whereas others wanted more entertainment on the pitch. The standard fare when Sam is in charge.
There werent particularly any massive calls for him to go at the time of Venkys coming in and I think most would have been happy to plod along with him still in charge.
He wasnt sacked because he was ex-Bolton or anything to do with the fans pressure. Do you honestly think Venkys had any clue about that themselves ? They did as they where advised.
He went in all likelihood because those in the real power at the club like Jerome Anderson who where 'advising' Venkys knew that, although he probably does have his dodgy elements he wouldnt stand there and be used as a puppet and have his transfers and squad chosen for him like they needed.
Kean being the delusional fool that he is and oddly enough being a client of SEM and Anderson was happy to wax lyrical about anything including players like Myles Anderson and Bruno Ribiero being signed from nowhere, neither of whom have ever played a first team game at the club.
I would love this to be the end of Kean but sadly im not sure it will be. He seems to hold alot of power with Mrs Desai and he has now well and truly stacked himself up with his sympathisers at what is now the very bare bones that was the top of the club in this country.
