I'd go the latter.....Our catching has been abysmal - Monty is just an embarrassment.

Over the past decade we've had Saqlain Mushtaq, Mushtaq Ahmed, Anil Kumble, Harbhajan Singh and Pragyan Ojha gracing our colours, all of them brilliant masters of their craft. Herath was more in the Gareth Batty bracket, but without the useful batting and fielding contributions.

Even if we're only chasing 220 I won't fancy our chances much considering what happened in the Pakistan series. At least our bowlers are giving us a chance though.

I find it odd that Patel batted as low as 7. He's not a front line bowler, he's a decent number 5 batsman who offers a bowling option. Trust him to do what he does best; he should bat ahead of Prior.
